The place was even better than we imagined! It was huge with an unbelievable view of the mountains. It had a huge outdoor hot tub which was perfect after a long day on the slopes. The house is perfectly located for access to multiple ski/snowboard locations. It was a short walk to downtown Frisco which has good shopping and lots of restaurant options! I would highly recommend staying at this house to anyone!! It was perfect for a large group!!
This home is spacious, well located and can sleep a lot of people. We found the two twin beds shown on the owner’s website to be in the third floor Meditation room have been replaced by a desk and chair, necessitating rearrangement of sleeping assignments to give adequate levels of privacy to our group.
The house is a little dated in amenities and décor. Door and faucet handles are missing in some rooms but you can get by.
The running water failed during our visit and luckily we found the owners by telephone early the next morning. The plumber they dispatched was unable to solve the problem during the remainder of our visit. The owners arranged for us to shower at a motel so the six families could prepare for a wedding ceremony and granted some additional monetary consideration.
Communication to arrange for this lodging was difficult. I spoke with the owner to secure the dates and they said they would email an agreement. Five days later I emailed and asked again for their proposed agreement. It was sent soon after that. I signed and returned the agreement and deposit check by mail, asking the owner to sign and send me a final copy of the agreement. It was never received. With some hesitation I forwarded the final payment and damage deposit 12 days before the due date set in the agreement but did not receive a receipt nor did my online checking account show the check was cashed by the due date. I followed up with e-mails to see if the mailman lost the envelope but got no response. I phoned to inquire but the answering machine was already full. A couple of days after the payment was due I did get an e-mail response that they had the checks and indicated that final instructions would be sent within a week. Two weeks later I had to e-mail and request the information be sent before we left for the trip. It finally arrived.
Shortly after vacating the house I inquired by e-mail about the return of my security deposit but got no response. Four weeks later I began calling the owner and leaving messages to determine the status of the refund. I soon got a call back telling me the refund had been initiated two days earlier on October 29. The check dated November 5 arrived on Nov 8.
We had 17 people meet in Frisco for a family reunion. This house was perfect! The living area was huge and we didn't ever feel like we were crowded at all. The house is beautifully furnished and had everything we needed! The location was very close to the downtown area and the lake which made it quick and easy to get anywhere fast. I would highly recommend this home!
Having travelled across the globe, and arriving early evening, my 13 colleagues and I were delighted in what we found. Everything was as described and offered us all that we needed for a week long ski vacation. We quickly made ourselves at home, which was quite easy, since nothing had been left out - bedding was comfortable, space was plenty and facilities first rate. It is a clean, attractive and well maintained house, and I would have no hesitation in repeating the experience.
1. The house is beautiful and spacious! Everyone in my group of 24 stayed comfortably. The owners' website is extremely helpful and informative for planning a large group stay.
2. The owners are very accommodating. Since I live close, the owners offered me the option to meet and sign the lease in person. Jen sat down with me and we chatted for awhile. She went over the floor plan and answered all my questions. During our stay, the hot tub malfunctioned, but after calling the owners, someone came out the next morning to fix it. Also, my security deposit was returned promptly (within 30 days of departure).
3. The management team was also very helpful. I called before arrival and spoke with them. They walked me through all the steps for check in and out, any modifications to the house, etc.
As someone who is familiar with property management, I highly recommend this rental property and working with the owners John and Jen. They are very professional and made my trip planning easier.
The house was beautiful. It was nice that it had 2 master bedrooms and beds all over the place. It was very clean and well maintained. The view of the mountains was incredible. However I had a lot of trouble getting my security deposit back. I had to call and email numerous times and it took about 7 weeks for the owner to finally send it back. It's a shame because we really liked the house.
