Stay in our lovely Ski-in Ski-out two bedroom condo. Walk out your door and ski down Grammy Jay to the Village Chair and access the entire mountain. This condominium has a full kitchen, eating area, living room with TV/VCR/DVD, stereo and gas fireplace. The Master bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, second bedroom has two single beds. There is a pull-out sofa bed (queen) in the living room.
Jay Peak has excellent snowboarding and skiing with the most snowfall in the Northeast. With miles of gladed terrain, incredible natural snowfall and unmatched scenery, it is no wonder that Jay Peak was voted the #1 ski area in the East by Skiing magazine. Early forecasts say that this could be one of the best seasons in years. Jay also has 20 km of on-site groomed cross-country trails, or 5 km of snow shoeing trails. There are nightly activities for the kids during peak season. The new Tram hotel is complete and offers a fitness center, Spa, restaurant and pub.
Discounted lift tickets are available (limited basis) with rentals of 3 nights or more.
We enjoy outdoor activities, golf, cycling and downhill skiing, in beautiful Jay Peak Vermont. The skiing is excellent with short lift-lines and uncrowded hills. The glade skiing is amazing.
It is very relaxing. There is no need to fight traffic to get to the ski hill. We ski back to the condo for lunch and various members of the group can come and go as they wish.
In the summer, we enjoy biking, hiking and golfing. The views from both the hill and the golf course are spectacular.
Had a great stay at Jay Peak last week. The condo was everything the owner /web site promised. Great location, very well maintained/updated furnishings and kitchen appliances. Plenty of room for our family of 4, plus a few dinner guests. Parking was directly in front of condo and lot was plowed everyday. The location was truely ski and ski out ...no dragging ski's across a road or walking thru a path...just a few steps to the trails. The best part for me was the ski locker right outside of the unit, and the large closet and hallway to store all the boots and helmets - that kept us organized and avoided us having all the equipment in the living area.
We stayed at this condo in the week previous to the reviewer who found the condo so unclean. Something strange must have occured between Saturday morning when we left and Sunday afternoon when he arrived because there was no blood in the bed (I'm past that age), no toe clippings, and none of us eat chips. In fact, the place was very nice when we stayed there. . I'm a bit shocked by the statements I've seen below. When we arrived on Sunday, the cleaners were still tidying up - but they did a great job and the condo was lovely. Sara was helpful on the few little issues which arose and we had a wonderful time. We've used VBRO many times and never had any sort of issue. Mark was also just fine. So I'm shaking my head. Anyway, I would stay there again in heart beat - so would my husband and our family.
My wife and our friends arrived on Sunday afternoon, ready to settle in for a week of Skiing and relaxation. Upon entry we were greeted with a pungent odor and dirty towels on the bathroom floors. We didn't think too much of it since our vacation was the most important thing on our minds. As we started to unpack, things took a disgusting turn for the worse. We turned down the beds to find the master bedroom pillows and sheets had FRESH BLOOD all over them. Potato Chips, hair and toe nail clippings were found as we pulled down the comforters on all three beds. This set off an obvious search of the entire condo which produced disgusting results including nail clippings all over the couch, no clean towels(all had hair and stains), a half eaten stick of butter with crumbs left out in the kitchen, used bars of soap in both showers, a sticky kitchen counter and kitchen table, placemats that were so dirty they were completely stuck together,etc
When we confronted Sara from the condo management company she said she would send a cleaning person over. The cleaning person proceeded to arrive with no cleaning equipment. When asked if she had a vacuum she said no/(We later found out they had central vac which neither she or the property manager knew about but claimed they cleaned and vacuumed). The cleaning person began to tell us a consipracy theory about JAY PEAK's cleaning crew and how they must have come in during the night and dirtied the place up. She decided to use DISHWASHER BLEACH to try to clean the blood in front of us. She left without doing any cleaning.
We again called Sara to explain that we needed new sheats. She agreed and brought them in 3 or 4 hours. After we told her the other items we found she put the sheets on and began to walk out of the door, no apology or offer to have the place cleaned. We explained to her how disappointed we were and that we believed the place was never cleaned. She told us that the people who stayed the day before told her and the cleaning lady that they cleaned the place! She offered no apology until being told that she owed us one and left. Obviously fuming we proceeded to clean the entire place 6 hours into our visit after a 7 hour drive from NY. We were upset enough to email the owner of the condo who responded two days later by thanking us for the email and letting us know that he had a new management company. NO APOLOGY. We are so happy we could be your guinea pigs but for the money we deserved better
Just returned from our abbreviated ski trip to Jay Peak. We stayed at this condo and it was absolutely perfect. Mark the owner is awesome to deal with and maintains a great unit. It's right on the Grammy Jay trail which makes this property a "true ski in/ski out". They will have plates, forks etc for you but you'll need to bring your own food and condiments etc. This place is quiet and very clean. This condo is reasonably priced if you search among other similar properties. Ask the owner about discounted lift tickets as he may be able to get some for you. I highly recommend this property and you won't be disappointed! I will stay here everytime I go up to Jay!
