Activities and Attractions:
Connected to the mainland by a causeway, you can, depending on your whim, circumnavigate Rocky Neck by foot within minutes, not hours. On the Neck you will find many artists' galleries, three seasonal restaurants, a coffee shop and an ice cream parlor, along with a full complement of colorful characters and views. Across the causeway, but still within easy walking distance, is a convenience store and the Gloucester Stage Company theater. A short drive or bike ride away is Good Harbor Beach, one of the best-rated beaches by Boston media readers. There are many activities during the summer months, including St. Peter's Fiesta in June, the Horribles parade and fireworks on July 3rd, the sidewalk bazaar, Rocky Neck Beaux Arts Ball and Waterfront Festival in August, and the schooner races over Labor Day weekend,
just to name a few.
