About The Owner

My Husband and I grew up in the Midwest but we LOVE the Ocean! For years, Sanibel was our favorite vacation spot as a couple. Our family has grown and it still is our favorite place to vacation! The Ocean and all the nature is breathtaking..more so than any other place we have visited. One trip the kids found themselves swimming next to a dolphin! How extraordinary to swim with a dolphin in the wild! Another trip, the shelling was amazing! The kids found 16 starfish on the shore and other large & small shells. Every time we visit Sanibel, the vacation has a surprise for us which makes our visit Memorable

Why The Owner chose Sanibel Island

Loggerhead has on-site management and has security/property staff. This constant attention keeps Loggerhead a safe, clean and well-maintained property on Sanibel. The beach front of loggerhead is fabulous..the shells are plentiful and the waves are full enough that children of ALL ages can enjoy. We love Loggerhead's large heated pool. Even in peak season, a lounge chair can be found and laps can be swam at the pool. We have been visiting Sanibel for the last 20 years. The Ocean was awesome 20 years ago and is still awesome today. Loggerhead & Sanibel Island remains hassel-free, neat and friendly...With that kind of consistancy--we decided it was a good investment--We may move to Sanibel someday and come back to the Mid-West for a visit!

What makes this condo unique

My Family has had some fun at Loggerhead! Loggerhead Cay Condo Complex's location on Sanibel is awesome! --One day we rode bikes over to the Lighthouse Pier. My husband & the Kids fished while I enjoyed the sun and inspecting the famous Light House. After they caught a few; we threw the fish in the cooler (every bike has a basket) and headed back. to Loggerhead. The kids cleaned the fish on the prep table next to the grill. We put the fillets on ice and rode up to Lazy Flamingo. The Lazy Flamingo prepared it to our liking..We all enjoyed our fresh fish with cold beverages.. Fun for the WHOLE family..memorable.. delicious!

I have stayed @ Loggerhead many times & #324 is by far the nicest one we have stayed in the complex. The condo is so clean and everything seems brand new...even the blankets and towels were deluxe! I felt like I was in a friend's home..Need to use an iron=Rowenta in the closet,

Decide u want to BBQ=BBQ utensils in the kitchen and steak knives! Having so many quality extras has not been my experience when renting other condos.

I enjoyed the privacy of the location. Most of the units w/ ocean view also have a Pool view. You could see the ocean from the lanai but not the pool. The pool has so much activity and can be so noisy, I was happy to not have to deal with all that sound while in our condo relaxing.

I thought the kitchen/bath redos were amazing. so many units have no additional space for groceries except the kitchen countertop....#324 had empty pull outs in the kitchen cabinets so all our groceries had a place. There are many appliances to make eating-in easy. We made waffles in the morning w/ the waffle maker, smoothies in the blender, burgers on the George Forman grill and garlic cheese bread in the toaster oven!

This kitchen is stocked...very rare! and I was impressed that there was a choice of stoneware and melamine in everything!

Plates/cups/bowls even wine and beer glasses in glass or plastic!

Loved that!

The master bath shower was all- tiled. It's a walk in. You could take a traditional shower or use the convertible shower head.

There was a built in bench. Easy to do. Sit on the bench and turn the converter to the hand held shower head and away you go. That shower stall was so big..3 people easily fit inside!! My 4 and 6 year old loved bathing in there!!

We saved so much money and time by renting this unit.

My husband and I normally rent bikes. Bikes were included.

Each evening we rent a movie. There was so many movies included in the condo...we never paid to rent one.

We just had such a nice time in this condo! we were so relaxed and at home there. It was so nice not to have to run out for the little things. all the extras seemed to be in a drawer or a closet.

We will return to this unit, no doubt!

Amazing!!

I just returned from a 1-week stay on Sanibel with my husband and two daughters (ages 7 and 9) and I'm still smiling from all the fun we had. This condo was everything we wanted and more. Not only was it fully stocked, it was beautifully organized so we had no trouble finding everything we needed. We took full advantage of the boogie boards, bikes, beach buggy, cooler (complete with oversized wheels for dragging across the sand!) and games. At night when we were all tuckered out for the day, our daughters enjoyed a movie from the extensive collection while my husband and I enjoyed cocktails and cribbage on the beautiful lanai. We did our fair share of eating out, but the well equipped kitchen made it easy to eat "at home" as well and we ate breakfast and lunch onsite almost every day. There are several gas grills by the clubhouse available for use as well so we cooked on the nights we didn't feel like going out!

Jennifer was super responsive to all my inquiries and also went above and beyond by recommending great places for us to try. Staying at this place made me feel so much at home - her hospitality was exceptional. I would absoutely recommend staying here if you plan to visit Sanibel!

Winter get-away

My husband & I were so happy to get away from all the cold & snow in Pittsburgh. Sanibel was wonderful!

Our condo was everything I read about and more. It was very clean, beautifully decorated and very well equipped with just about anything we could have needed. Having the bikes available for us to use and not having to rent them was an extra bonus. In addition, the owner was so helpful and very nice whenever I spoke with her. Be sure to check out the Sanibel Thriller boat ride. It was awesome, we saw so many dolphins swimming right behind the boat! The food at Doc Fords, Traders & Cips was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Long awaited vacation.

Our family of six had been waiting for this vacation for 2 years and was not disappointed. The very clean, well maintained condo was incredibly well equipped with plenty of updated furnishings, linens (even beach towels), and good quality dishes! The owner of unit #324 was so helpful with any questions we had and provided use of beach equipment (recommend more sand toys), bikes, and linens for no add'l fees. This made our vacation very enjoyable as we were on a tight budget and cooked almost all of our meals in the condo. The beds were very comfortable which was great since a well rested family is a happy family! The grounds are beautiful, the pool was superb, and the beach great (except for the sand fleas). Our family enjoyed the shuffleboard and tennis courts as well and are thankful that the owner provided tennis rackets and balls for our use. Really our only disappointment was that Loggerhead Cay basically has a "no play" rule on it's property. No balls, frisbees, etc. are to be played with on the grounds as well as no biking around the property. No noodles or pool toys are allowed either. This is definitely something to keep in mind if you have young children. Plan on having to get sandy to play. Our 4 kids are ages 17, 13, 11, and 10 and we managed to stay entertained once the initial shock passed :-)

We enjoyed driving through Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge and visiting the educational center there. We enjoyed celebrating our daughter's birthday with dinner at The Island Cow, went for a bike ride around the island, and stopped at Pinocchio's for ice cream... so good! The coffee bar and bakery at Bailey's is wonderful and the frozen yogurt at Zebra was delicious! We enjoyed a few hours shelling and fishing with Captain Peter with Hey Mon http://heymonsanibel.com/. He was great with 4 kids!

Wonderful Sanibel Condo!

This condo is as perfect as it sounds. Clean , extremely organized and complete with anything you may need. Beach Chairs, towels , plenty of storage ( loved the little storage baskets throughout ) and even a grill. Close walk to the beach and pool to enjoy the sunrise,sunset or to cool off We enjoyed shelling(beautiful display now in my Living room),fishing and biking . It was great touring the island by bike ! Many great restaurants to choose from with many brochures nicely organized in a book offering sample menus and things to do. Very helpful! Extremely home like condo with owner Jen always available to answer any questions you may have . Appreciated the in condo washer and dryer and cleaning service when you are ready to leave, all included. We cant wait to return to Sanibel and will most defintely stay at this condo again. We cant wait!!

My renter experiences have educated me. I try to provide all that I wish I had when I was a guest. It was disappointing as a renter to spend precious vacation days to clean and gather items to enjoy vacation. I'm happy you find cleanliness a priority. I'm glad the quarterly deep cleans as well as the weekly cleans are appreciated. I am pleased you enjoyed the amenities. Vacation is more enjoyable when you have all the toys! Thank you for complimenting the closet & cabinet organizers. Order is essential, so time is spend at the beach and not looking for where you put something! I agree that Loggerhead Condo Complex (East End) is the very best location. It's beachfront and most activities and restaurants are a bike ride away. I Love that! I also love that it's right off the causeway so you are NEVER in island traffic. Loggerhead's amenities are top notch. *the largest heated pool on the island (resurfaced pool w/all new furniture) , *3 (newly resurfaced) tennis courts, *4 NEW gas grills *2 shuffle board courts All are pristine and seems never a wait for what you want to do. Wonderful stay!

The condo was clean and professionally decorated. We liked the beach closet that had everything we needed for the beach. We used the chairs daily, and our daughter used the boogie board, pail, and shovels. We wished we had the opportunity to use the two bikes that the owner supplied. Beds were very comfortable! Restaurants in the area were excellent!

Beautifully decorated condo!

This condo is beautifully decorated in a beach theme. I loved all the baskets and other storage items--quite creative! We travel a lot, and this kitchen was the best supplied we've ever had. We also liked the location of the complex--close to the bridge so it was convenient to go "off" island without a long drive. The only criticism we had of the condo is that the matresses in the 2nd bedroom (twins) were not at all comfortable. Would be fine for kids but not comfy for adults.
