From the first time I dealt with the owner via email until the end of my 5 day (too short) stay, my experience with this house was nothing short of amazing. The owner was the nicest guy and went out of his way to make this house have all the amenities of home. And what a truly spectacular home it is. Huge master bedroom suite with beautiful jacuzzu bathroom, the most beautiful wood beams throughout entire cabin, this house is amazing. All I kept thinking is "I want this house to be MINE!!!" It has a large kitchen with all the supplies necessary to make a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, which me and my family did. The kitchen is also brand new and very modern, not 50 years old and gross like a lot of the kitchens you can find in these rentals. The house is immaculate and smells of newness and wood. There is a large living area off the kitchen with seating for up to 12 people with comfy couches and chairs as well as a seperate game room that also has a multitude of seating and fooseball and a really fun pinball machine. The house has two beautiful flat screen televisions with both DVD and VCR attached and the owner was thoughtful enough to construct a video library with something to please every one. This house is really big and has a ton of bathrooms. There are four bedrooms as well as a cool loft area on the second level. No matter where you are around the house, you are looking at something beautiful. Even the furnishings and deco is tasteful and super comfy. Outside there is a HUGE balcony with grill and a ton of seating. Looking out the windows and from the balcony is a marvelous view of the lake. And the house itself is surrounded by woods. One particular afternoon a heavy fog rolled in and we all stood on the balcony and watched the fog weave itself in and out of the trees. It was so cool!! We enjoyed each and every day there. Nobody in my party wanted to leave. And again, I cannot mention what a pleasure it was to deal with Mr. Blaker. My brother, my sister-in-law and myself all dealt with him at different times regarding the rental process and all remarked on how nice he was and how easy he made everything. He is a very chill, laid back fella who seems to have a great stake in making sure your time at his cabin is enjoyable. If you are planning a trip anywhere in the Hunter Mountain area, do not let an opportunity to stay at this place pass you by. You will truly be staying at one of the most beautiful homes in the area!
