Luxurious, expansive and directly on Lake Michigan, the location of Sky’s Beach is unique as it is nestled between dunes with no steps down to the beach. Sky’s Beach is 15 minutes south of Grand Haven and 15 minutes to downtown Holland in the privacy of Port Sheldon Beach Association in West Olive, MI. This NEW deluxe Beach House has turn of the century classic cottage charm with modern luxuries and amenities. Sky’s Beach is a 4 level cottage. There are balconies/ porches on 3 levels with panoramic views of Lake Michigan. This 3,000+ sq. ft. beach house is built to accommodate a large family or a 2 family vacation. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 baths (1 full bath on each level). Sky’s Beach comfortably sleeps 12 people in beds.

Walk along an endless beach or sit on your private balcony, porch, or deck overlooking Lake Michigan. This private association, on extensive wooded property, offers the use of tennis courts and there is an inlet lake only a short walk away. Numerous bike trails and two State Parks are very close. Just show up! Full kitchen with dishwasher, grill, cable TV, DSL, laundry, towels, linens and beach chairs are all provided.

Sue (My Wife) grew up in Holland, MI. Sky's Beach was the perfect spot for family vacations and being close to our extended family.

What makes this house unique

We are directly on the Water and have beautiful views of the lake from every bedroom, A giant deck and play area make Sky's the perfect spot for a Lake Michigan vacation.

Romantic Weekend Getaway

Saw an opportunity to use Sky's Beach for a weekend in early May. You never know what to expect in Michigan that time of year, but we hit it right and had an awesome "off-season" get away weekend. It's a big house for just two people, but the quiet and serenity in May is amazing. Talk about having the beach to yourself! I saw my wife get as relaxed as I have ever seen :-)

There's a new restaurant 0.5 miles away (walkable) that is a must see! Sandy Point Beach House.

Home is always clean and well maintained. Owner is easy to work with.

While I'd recommend this place for a summer, family vacation, consider it for a romantic, quiet weekend in the off season too.

Perfect Fall Weekend

Beautiful place. Wonderful fall colors. Watched the leaves fall from the porch. The house was immaculate. We cooked, playd the board games, walked on the beach and had bond fires. We'll be back!!

The Ultimate Family Beach House

Sky's Beach is an exceptional home. We've rented other VRBO homes and this one is much more beautiful, clean and well maintained than all the others. You can't beat the location, a path to the beach, and its design. We've had 11 family members using almost all the beds--not the baby. The dining room table works for 10 people (baby in high chair) and the kitchen is well appointed. The outdoor grill and table are wonderful. Regardless of age, our grandchildren continue to enjoy the playground and the playhouse. The master bedroom faces Lake Michigan which is beautiful in all kinds of weather. Its double doors and balcony open up the room to the Lake. It's a great house and we love gioing there year after year.

Wonderful get-away, any time of year

We stayed here the weekend after Thanksgiving. Had 5 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children - plenty of space (sleeping and bathroom) for all! Short trip to Holland for Turkey Trot 5k race. Standing on the beach in the November gales is powerful, but watching the morning wind and waves from bed in the upper floor Master bedroom is great too! Brought our food and clothes and that's it - everything else (linens, towels, games, movies, etc.) was on hand. Log book of past visitors was entertaining. Notebook of information (including Wi-Fi codes!) was very helpful.

No stairs to the beach is a great feature of this place.

Everything was clean and well maintained. Felt more like being a guest in a friend's home than a rental.

Owner was very easy to work with. Good communication.

Have and will continue to recommend "Sky's Beach" to friends and relatives!

Returning to Sky's Beach

We enjoyed our stay at Sky's Beach immensely as a retreat following our son's graduation. So much so that when our second son graduated two years later, we wanted nothing more than to return to Sky's Beach - and we don't often repeat a vacation! Eight of us (multigenerations) soaked in the peace and beauty of the property and there were spaces for privacy and communing for all. The private beach is in full view from nearly every room of the house. The property is immaculate, well appointed and equiped and can easily accomodate a large group. Thewarm and welcoming property is wonderfully tucked away in a private area, however Grand Haven and Holland are an easy bike ride away (bike path) and shopping is a short drive as well.
Highlights: gorgeous sunsets, bikes and beach equipment provided, lovely deck with grill, beach fire pit, spectacular master suite, 4 baths plus outdoor shower, porches galore, basement area for kids, and did I mention those sunsets? :)
The owners have thought of everything for this home and are wonderful to work with. We would definately return to Sky's Beach!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
