OCEANVIEW, GOLF COURSE, FIVE STAR KONA COAST RESORT, QUIET & MODERN SM WEDDING

As first time visitors to the Ironman and Hawaii we rate our holiday to support our son as first rate. THis was in no short measure to our accommodation. The unit allowed 3 couples to stay in comfort and with great facilities which made the whole trip a breeze. The location was close enough to Kailua to be easy (despite the hub-bub) and far enough away to be free of the hype and noise. It was very reasonably priced for three couples.The unit had great facilities and we just loved it. We'd certainly come again.

We stayed for a week in this lovely 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom vacation home. It was so nice to have a fully stocked beautiful kitchen with large washer and dryer. We didn't have to take as many clothes and it was so nice to wash our swimsuits and towels we used each day for snorkeling. The location was awesome for us and a grocery store is located right across the street in a strip mall with a few eating establishments. It was within walking distance of our favorite snorkeling beach, Kahalu'u Beach Park (lots of turtles). It is only a short drive to the main eating establishments on Ali'i Drive in Kailua-Kona. We even rented scooters for a couple days and had a blast!

We headed south twice by car to the Pu'uhonua o Honaunau Two Steps, Place Of Refuge) beach. It has beautiful coral reef. The second time we went we were delighted to find ourselves swimming with a huge pod of spinner dolphins all around us. There had to be 100 of them. They were there over an hour. It was a magical experience.

The Kona Coast Resort grounds were well manicured and employees very friendly. We used the hot tub several times. There are beach towels in the condo. We purchased and left 6 beach chairs behind so they may be included for future visitors. We used the bird seed each morning in the bird feeder out the patio. Two yellow finches and a beautiful cardinal were always the last visitors.

The vacation home was very clean and perfect for us with plenty of bath towels. We had 3 couples and we all had our own privacy. The master suite is beautiful and the bed was very good. There are televisions in each bedroom and two large screen TV's downstairs.

My only complaint was it was a hot week there and the upstairs master bedroom was hard to cool down but there is air conditioning and plenty of fans! You also have to pay about 10 a day for internet access.

We'd definitely rent again for a stay on the big Island. We had a super time and I wish I was there again right now!
