This is an ideal eclectic getaway in a lower density, well designed complex with Caribbean flair. Ideally suited for 1-2 couples or small family, well behaved canine family members are welcome. Peaceful, perfectly situated location away from the hustle and bustle of front beach party atmosphere, yet only a 7 minute stroll to beach and fishing pier, and 5 minutes to Center Street restaurants and entertainment. Two beach cruiser bicycles provided for environmentally friendly island excursions. Folly is also a wonderful kayaking area, public landing 2 blocks away. Electric piano to fine tune your compositions or practice your vocals. Historic Charleston with all its charm is only 10 miles away.
Clean and Green: Folly is said to have the cleanest air on the east coast, give your body the gift of a fresh air infusion, relax and unwind. We strive to keep our home suitable for chemical sensitive individuals by cleaning with natural products and essential oils as well as avoiding chemical sprays, etc. Chemical scent free laundry detergent as well as chemical free air freshener and insect repellent provided. We ask that guests refrain from using chemically scented products while in residence. If advice is needed as to where to obtain naturally scented personal care items we're glad to assist.
Spacious... room to be together.. room to be apart: This home is spacious, we've not converted the small study into a dedicated less desirable 3rd bedroom as is often done, electing to retain it as a multi-use space instead. Our guests are generally more mature adults seeking better quality accommodations and a more open relaxed atmosphere. Study includes yoga mat etc. as well as a full size drafting table enabling accommodation of other artistic pursuits and internet connection (DSL via Ethernet cable plus wireless N). There's also a sofa turning this into another cozy reading refuge. Should you have an extra family member joining you for a day or so, the sofa serves as an additional comfortable twin bed. This room is truly meant as another space to retreat, design, think and read, not meant to be pressed into full service as sleeping accommodations on a regular basis. However, in a pinch, for a few days it'll do nicely.
