Newly renovated 3 bedroom/1 bath waterfront cottage on private beach at harbor entrance, Brand new pool overlooks Sea of Abaco. Magnificent views of sunsets, lighthouse and harbor activity.

Cathedral ceilings and abundant windows create a spacious, bright living room, with brand new furnishings throughout the cottage.

Kayak from the deck, ride bicycles, walk to town, restaurants and other beaches. Outdoor shower.

About The Owner

My husband and I have been traveling to the Bahamas for several years. In 2007 we traveled to Hope Town for the first time and fell in love with the Abacos. We purchased Lavender Cottage before our vacation was over! Then came the long, slow renovation. We visit Hope Town as often as we can. We go down by ourselves, with our daughters (8 & 10) and with friends. We feel Hope Town is so safe our children are allowed to roam by themselves!! We spend a lot of time on the water - flyfishing in the Marls (in nearby Marsh Harbor), kayaking, snorkeling or just swimming from our garden. We tool around town on a golf cart and take the girls to Tahiti Beach for seashells. There is always something to do. Hope Town is a wonderful place to visit. Maureen & Evan, Norwalk CT

Why The Owner chose Elbow Cay and Hope Town

We chose to buy in Hope Town for several reasons. Our first priority was safety for our children and we are very comfortable with them going off to explore by themselves. Secondly there is a lot of things to do, both on and off the water. Third, the Abacos are beautiful and Hope Town Settlement is unique.

What makes this cottage unique

Kayaks, bicycles, BBQing your own fresh catch of the day on the deck. Swimming in the pool or the ocean. Walking into town for dinner or cocktails. Taking the ferry to other islands to explore.

This week has been the best family vacation we have ever been on! There is just so much to do. It was a blessing to have a boat to go from island to island, or go fishing. Lavender Cottage is such a comfortable little place, with a refreshing pool and AWESOME view We had everything we needed here. The kayaks were a blast and the games in the ottoman gave us something to do on the nights the island closed up early. Thank you for sharing.

Lavender Cottage

This home is so amazing! After a long day on the boat we would always be glad to rinse of in the outdoor shower and use the pool! The pool helped a lot - it was so hot here. We loved the bay view and kayaked until we could kayak no more! The beach here is so nice and so close. This house is so close to town too. We can tell you guys take great care of this home because it is so cozy. We hope we can stay here again soon. Thank you.

PS. We wish we owned this beautiful home.
