Room 201 also provides panoramic views of the mountains and rich tropical foliage from any one of the three private balconies, or just open the French doors facing the ocean and let the Caribbean breeze soothe your soul. In less than a 5 minute walk you will find yourself on one of the many beautiful white sand beaches that St. Maarten is famous for. There are many dining options just minutes away, as well as numerous activities such as water sports, spas, yachting, marinas and casinos. Philipsburg, the capital of the Dutch side, and Orient beach, which is famous for its fine dining, windsurfing, kite surfing and people watching, are a short 10-minute drive from Princess Heights.

Room 201 was completely renovated in July 2009. This 2 Bedroom condo has brand new furnishings in a tropical West Indies theme. It features marble floors throughout, Italian terracotta tiles on the balconies, whirlpool tubs, central air conditioning, and a gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops. In addition, all the conveniences such as luxury linens, hair dryers, in room safes, and irons are all standard amenities.

I have owned property in Florida for several years, but I would get frustrated with the sometimes unpredictable weather there during the winter. In St. Maarten the weather is perfect almost all of the time; I don't even bother to check the weather reports before I go. Of course the spectacular teal water and white sand beaches were a big draw for me as well.
The condo was exactly what we were hoping for. Quiet and relaxation. Enjoyed mornings and evenings on the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Located on a quiet part of the island but easily accessible with a car. Each day a new adventure exploring the more than 30 beaches on the island. Favorites Baie Aux Prunes, Baie Longue and Friar's Bay. Dawn Beach is an easy walk from the condo. Fun days shopping in Phillipsburg and Marigot. A stop at the Green House, Philipsburg, and Sarafina's, Marigot a must.
My husband and I were on the Island for a conference and vacation. The condo was beautiful and in a great location, with ocean and mountain views. Having morning coffee on the balcony was a great way to begin the day. Quick walk to the beach and 5 minute ride to the French side of the Island which was our favorite. We were able to experience many of St Maarten's beaches, Pinel Island one of our faves. Would definately come back!
My husband and I absolutely loved our stay in here. We really didn't want our week to end. The location was fantastic.....just a short walk to a wonderful beach, which was one of the nicest beaches we had ever been. Not far from Phillipsburg and easy access to the French side of the island. I used the workout room a couple of times and we so enjoyed our balcony for having cocktails before dinner. The pool was delightful, and we just couldn't have asked for a better experience.
This was our 4th stay on the island, staying at various places each time and this was our favorite. The location, property description, amenities were all that you need to vacation here. The photos describing the unit are very accurate. Location: you can be most anywhere in 15 minutes. With the Westin Beach within minutes, and Oyster Bay resort within 10 minutes walking you have options. We rented a car(highly recommended) and found it easy to go to other beaches to explore. This property has a great view, was very clean and the furnishings adequate and up to date. Free WiFi was super. We cooked most of our meals during our two week stay, the kitchen has only the essential utensils so limited somewhat in what you can make. The outdoor grill is close by and another option we enjoyed. We enjoyed the large patio for breakfast at the table, and relaxed as well in the lounge chairs. It was a very nice size patio. The pool was right there, easy to walk to and generally quiet. The front desk was very helpful with any questions we had and helped book a snorkeling trip for us. The condo owner was very responsive when we contacted them and were very helpful with pre-arrival information and directions, grocery suggestions, etc. We definitely will make this our first choice to stay at St Maarten next winter. You won't regret booking this unit.
This is a lovely condo and we enjoyed our Christmas holiday there. Excellent location in the building, big rooms, and lovely view across to St. Barth's. The walk down the steps to the Westin was not nearly as difficult as we had anticipated. The staff was very helpful and did everything we asked them to do. The kitchen is not for serious cooks but we found it adequate for our simple meals. We rented a car for the week (at a desk in the Westin) and, after a few trips, found our way around with little difficulty. We had rented a gps and used it once. You will need a car unless you plan to cook for yourself or eat at the Westin. Air conditioning stopped working the day before Christmas and the maintenance people replaced the thermostat on Christmas Day!
We came for an extended stay to celebrate our 10th Anniversary at Dawn Beach, and found this Unit at Princess Heights to be a great place for a peaceful, relaxing celebration.
The 2 bedrooms and 2 baths worked out beautifully, as we had some guests come to help us celebrate. The condo is well appointed with marble floors throughout, the king size beds very comfortable and the sunrises spectacular. Fine dining is 2 minutes away with a variety of restaurants, or pizza joints, along with the boaters bar, a great spot for an after beach snack.
The staff was incredibly friendly, efficient, and very helpful with any request.
We did mention to the owner, that for an extended stay he could use some better kitchen utinsels, and maybe even a docking station for an ipod, and he agreed. I fully expect to have them there the next time we return, and we will definately return to this beautiful spot on our favorite island.
