My wife, 2 kids and I stayed here in May and LOVED it! The house was spotless and very well-maintained. It was beautifully decorated and came with a nice note card and bottle of welcome wine. The owners obviously take great pride in this home. The views from the decks were thrilling: the Pacific Ocean was our back yard. It was stocked with everything we needed to cook in three nights (including barbecue night). We weren't sure how to operate the Jacuzzi and when we called, the owners were there within half an hour to assist us. (Turns out it was easy!) We called the concierge for advice on dining and with other questions and she was delightful. The drive to the beach took about 90 seconds. La Jolla is charming - lots of shops and restaurants. We would recommend this home without hesitation and plan to return every year. At the price, it's a remarkable per-night value. You won't find a hotel anywhere near as nice for anywhere near the price.
