I personally built 'Canyon House at Trails End' in 1994 and have owned and maintained it since. We have been in the residential Real Estate business for more than 25 years in Evergreen Colorado. Getaway in the woods

This was a good getaway. We enjoyed the location very much. Up high on the mountain. Downtown Evergreen just about 30 min away for dining. Also the Brooke Forest Inn is just about 15 min away from the cabin. We enjoyed the quiet and the cool weather! Fireplace works amazingly well. Keeps you VERY toasty at night. Just the perfect amount of space for our family of 4. Could have definitely fit 4 kids in the second bedroom. Having one bathroom could be an issue if you did that though. It was somewhat of an issue for us.
The only negatives for us were the limited kitchen tools for cooking. The bathroom tile did have mold on it. Something the owners need to remedy quickly.
The photos need to be updated as well. Because the "View" of the mountains off the back porch (that is very run down and somewhat of a mess) is very hard to see. Forest has grown and is much more dense. Making for less of a view. There's also several power lines blocking that view.
There are plenty of towels and a great laundry area in the bathroom. We enjoyed that. More paper towels and more toilet paper would have been nice.
Again. Location is great if you need some quiet. We could hear the stream from the house and it was not close. That was really neat. So was the sunrise each morning. So great. We would definitely stay again. Hoping the list I just made was fixed.

Never has any of the negatives listed here been brought to our attention, either in an On-line Review, or in conversation with our guests. To our valued prospective guests. We are always concerned when a review mentions negative items. We emmediately reviewed the Bathroom tile and there is NO Mold anywhere. If fact our ceramic tile bathroom floors are mopped with Lysol before every guest chk in. The deck Patio Being Mess: The patio is exactly as depicted in the Listing photos; Well organized with Gas Grill, Patio Table and Chairs, a generous supply of firewood and kindling for arriving guests. We are bewildered as to how someone would describe the patio as a Mess. !! the construction is wood and it is well maintained. The home is listed on the VRBO and Homeaway listing with one Bathroom. We understand that having only 1 bathroom was somewhat of an issue for our valued guest. If you need 2 bathrooms this home would not be for you. We suugest to prospective travelers that you review in detail the # of bathrooms, bedrooms and sleeping arrangements before confirming and reservation at any of our 9 Evergreen Colorado VRBO and Homeaway listed Vaction Homes. The Kitchen is fully stocked with every possible kitchen tool and appliance you could need to prepare full family meals. We always leave a personal greeting for our guests that invite them to call if there any thing they need. We are on site of our 9 Evergereen Colorado VRBO and Homeaway Listed homes and can deliver almost any item that might lacking. We recieved no call, e-mail, or text from our valued guest. A simple phone call or text would have delivered any item required to make the kitchen equipment experience satisfy our valued guests needs. The Views from Canyon house are exactly as shown in the On Line Photos, and one has to look 110 feet to the forest edge to see power lines. We are in the Wilderness at 9000 feet elevation and do not have underground utilities. If you are bothered by overhead power lines you should stay in a Hotel in Downtown Denver. Contrary to our valued guests description the Forest is anything but overgrown, and in fact has been cleared recently for fire mitigation.

Great Escape into Evergreen Colorado

Perfect out-back "rustic on the outside, very clean and fully equipped on the inside" two bedroom lodge. Was in area for concert at Red Rocks, some sightseeing, horseback riding, mountain hiking and white water rafting and this hit the spot. Host was spot-on with all communications prior to rental as was a great concierge during stay. Worked with our unique travel agenda to make arrival seamless. Really enjoyed the town of Evergreen, which was a plus! Would not hesitate to stay there again if in the area.

Perfect Hideway

This was our first time at this property and we were not disappointed. The house was tucked away among the aspens and was the perfect secluded spot we needed for R&R. The house was impeccably clean and updated and had all the expected amenities plus some we didn't expect. We will definitely stay here again.

Great Canyon House

Reservation was a breeze, very professional. The place was more lovely than pictures, everything, and more, was at the cabin. Very charming and a great feel about the place. A wonderful place to come back to after day's outings. Didn't thing it was too far out, just a little high up. Would certainly like to go back
to this area and definitely would rent here again .
