The little apartment was great for our family because the price was very affordable and the location was perfect: maybe a 1/2 mile from the bridge to St. George's Island. The best part of the place was when everyone on the island lost power for three days due to a water spout, we were sitting pretty with cool air conditioning and cable TV! The owner was very available as his office is next door, but not a bother at all. The description of the property is extremly accurate. The only downfall was the lack of a kitchen and coffee maker. It did however have a full fridge, microwave and toaster oven which helped us save alot of money because we drove over to a Piggly Wiggly and bought groceries. In the end, it turned out to be a positive because we found some great places to eat in Eastpoint. Including delicious shrimp at the Red Pirate, a cute family restaurant with putt-putt golf and grown-up drinks. The mexican grill right next to the apartment is open late and stayed pretty packed the whole time we were there. I would recommend this property to someone who is more interested in seeing and doing than sitting in a room looking at the beach. With that said there is a great view at sunset of the bridge to Apalachicola. All in all, it turned out to be perfect for our little family vacation budget. The beach on St. George's Island is truly heavenly!!! I recommend this vacation home and the surrounding area to anyone blessed enough to be able to go!!!!
