Decorated in traditional Hawaiian style, our ground floor condominium provides the comforts of a home away from home for any couple or family interested in a Ka'anapali Beach vacation. At our condo you are close to all the fun and shopping of the mega-resorts at Ka'anapali without having to deal with the crowds and noise. Your vacation sleep will never be disturbed by late night party types or unsupervised teenagers. You will have easy access to what many people agree is a truly serene section of Ka'anapali Beach with the only full-service beach-side Cabana in the area - and that includes the Westin, the Marriott, and the Sheraton. There is a complimentary six-passenger electric shuttle service to the Cabana from your room, or you can make the five-minute walk to the beach through the beautiful garden and pool areas of the resort and golf course.

Our ground floor condominium is 50 feet from a lovely mosaic tile Green Sea Turle pool that is a perfect, semi-private place for kids and families to cool off at the end of a day of sightseeing or island activities. Our lanai has comfortable chaise lounge seating and an outdoor dining set. It also has its own state-of-the art electric grill so that you never have to leave the unit to barbecue. The unit is a spacious 1,100 square foot, ground floor 1 bedroom, two full bath unit. It has two queen beds in the master bedroom and one high quality queen sofa sleeper in the living room.

About Bill and Linda Deeb

Bill and Linda Deeb fell in love with West Maui when they first visited with their young sons in the early 90's. They have returned to vacation there many times. As you can see from the photo, your hosts have even been known to make their own flower leis from orchids and fragrant plumeria blossoms, just like those found on the plumeria trees that are planted all around the Maui Eldorado.

Why Bill and Linda Deeb chose Kaanapali

Our good friends, Kua'ana and Bobbie recommended the Maui Eldorado to us after they had looked all over the Hawaiian Islands for the best vacation location, beach, views, serenity, quality construction, and customer service. They found all of this at the Maui Eldorado and bought a unit there. Kua'ana, who was Hawaiian, had a deep knowledge of the islands' history; and he pointed out to us that it was at Ka'anapali Beach on West Maui where the Alii Nui, Hawaii's ancient royalty, had chosen to vacation year after year. The Alii Nui could have vacationed on any beach in Hawaii. They chose Ka'anapali Beach.

What makes this condo unique

Because your hosts pay for Outrigger's check-in fee, our guests have complimentary access to a wide array of guest services. Not every rental owner offers such a service. Your hosts also pay the rental unit cleaning fee. Many other rental owners charge a cleaning fee which is usually from $100 to $150. Besides our great rates, this what we mean when we say that we have unmatched pricing for a quality 1 bedroom, 2 full bathroom unit.

Annual Island Visitor

This is our fifth stay at the Maui El Dorado and our first stay in this unit. We haven't been to Maui for four years now and it felt like home to be back at the Maui El Dorado. It was just my husband and I, but we found it to be very convenient to have two bathrooms. I, of course, took the master bathroom as the shower was fabulous. The location of this unit is perfect with parking available by the lobby, and really enjoyed having the pool just steps away. There were an abundance of towels, including huge pool towels. The beds are quite comfortable, and in general, all the furnishings are very nice. My husband joined the Valley Isle Fitness Center for the week of our stay which is just a short walk around the corner. We ate at Aloha Mixed Plate twice as you get a great value for the money. This condo has everything you need to make it your home away from home while staying in Maui. I would not hesitate to recommend this condo to my friends and look forward to returning again.

Great place for the money.

We stayed here for two whole weeks and had a great time. The location was wonderful. We have a 14 year old and a 12 year old and we all slept comfortably. If we just felt like a quick dip in a pool, it was right there. If we wanted a larger pool, it was steps away. Then there was the beach! It was only a 5 to 7-minute walk to the beach cabana. The cabana was a nice way to spend time at the beach and stay clean. :) The beach was calm most of the time and at least once a day some turtles would swim by on their way to black rock. One day, two rays swam by! Of course, someone yells "turtle" and everyone jumps in the water with snorkel gear. So much fun. We would spend the morning at the cabana or drive to a different beach and then come home for lunch. The afternoons were spent exploring a town or walking to Whalers Village for classes, touring the museum or shopping. We never ran out of things to do. The condo itself is a bit dated (except for the great shower in the on-suite), but it works. However, it is very comfortable and cosy. Perhaps the owners might take a look at replacing the pans and coffee maker in the kitchen and seeing if the inside of the dishwasher could be updated with new racks. These were our only concerns. Other than that, if you want a more renovated condo, you will have to look at paying more. For the price you pay, you can't beat this condo.

Decent view needs updates

This one-bedroom unit is located on the back edge of the property, with a TINY bit of ocean view. Having a full kitchen was great, which was stocked with glassware and cookware. We also used the washer/dryer once, which was very useful. The room could use some updating and better cleaning in general. We had an ant problem when we arrived to a note saying the ants would be gone the next day. They never left and the bait they used did not work, even when they came and added more. The complex as a whole is in a great location, with a nice shared cabana right on the beach. Whalers Village is about a 10 min. walk, and very convenient for shops and restaurants. The price was very good for this unit, but next time I would pay a little more for a better view and updated furniture/carpet.

Owner's Response: We appreciate our guests' comments and take them seriously to improve the overall guest experience at our condominium.

Our advertising clearly states that we have a partial ocean view, and our photographs of that view are accurate. The unit is furnished in traditional Hawaiian style. We have recently needed to hire a new cleaning service, and we and our on-island agent are working with them to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Our on-island agent reviewed the cleaning done prior to the guests' arrival, did some additional cleaning, and informed the cleaning service of additional expectations.

In terms of the ant problem mentioned, our on-island agent and the condominium complex staff do regular pest control. Our on-island agent visited the condominium twice during this guests' stay to tend to the issue. Upon reading the guests' concerns he states, "We have taken care of the ant issue in the kitchen and guest bath." Maui is in the tropics and occasional ant problems are not unusual.

In terms of the unit being updated, the review does not mention a brand new remodeled shower for the master bedroom.

Would definitely stay again

Superb location in the heart of Ka'anapali. We were very fortunate to vacation during the last week of August/early September as the resort was very quiet. Made full use of the pools and beach cabana. We would definitely stay here again if you'll have us. Thanks for being so accommodating.

Great location, comfortable stay

The place is great for a small family. We have 2 young kids. They both love to walk or take the ride to the beach everyday. The place has all the things we need to cook a meal at night. It is stocked with some sand toys as well. Supermarkets are very close.
