Killington is the biggest and best in the East, and the Matterhorn House offers a one-of-a-kind Vermont ski vacation experience.
Nice house with plenty of room. A bit older. Not quite what it's hyped up to be on the website, but definitely workable.
My group of friends and I visit roughly 3-4 different ski resorts in North American every winter, we are very well traveled and very experienced with ski cottage rentals. Although the cottage was nice, the service was by far the worst we have ever experienced. As soon they had our money for the reservation they stopped answering our phone calls and replying to our emails. We had a group of 14 guests, and stayed in a cottage without a working dishwasher and a broken coffee machine. Although we called multiple times they never came to fix the issues. They also lied to us about the ski in ski out feature. The backside of the mountain where the cottage is located does not open till January 1st every year. Even though we asked them on the phone, they lied to us and told us it is a ski in ski out cottage. Terrible management and very poor service for such a high price, definitely not recommended.
The property is convienently located to trail access.
Amenities include a spacious kitchen, Hot tub, pool table room, sauna and multiple sleeping rooms.
Everyting is clean and functioning.
Great for large groups.
We have stayed at the Matterhorn now many times and I have nothing but good things to say about it. Great location, spectacular views, wonderful amenities, all you could ask for to make the most of your ski trip and the staff are the best. Loved every minute of it.
I Just got back from our 15th stay at Trailside Village and will definitely be returning next year for our 16th. Everything you can think of was provided from the well stocked wood pile, with starters, to the luxurious linens and very well stocked kitchen. The hot tub, the electronics, the views, the service! Everything was perfect!!
I was stunned from the views from the house. Nice place to spend time with friends and family. Plenty of room for everybody. The house was nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and assisting. Having a private hot-tub on the deck was a plus. The kids enjoyed the full size pool table in the game room. Overall we had a great time and wonderful experience. Definitely we will come back again.
