Cozy cabin built on our 30 acres behind our home for our guests/family to enjoy the peaceful setting and the view.

We were able to rent the cabin for 2 nights for a wedding we were in town for. It was spacious enough for several of us to dress for the wedding and slept 3 comfortably. The mountains in the distance made for a perfect view while sitting on the screened back porch. The visits from the dog every now and then were nice too.
Stayed at the cozy cabin while doing a triathlon nearby. This was a great relaxing and peaceful retreat! The screened in porch was a favorite spot. Kitchen had everything needed to cook your own dinners and breakfast if so desired! Even some ingredients.
I was fortunate enough to be able to rent this cabin at the last minute when plans to travel to Big Bend fell through. I couldn't be more pleased with both the cabin and its owners! Joyce and Doug thought of everything in this adorable little cottage. The small and thoughtful touches, such as vases of flowers grown on the property, books, dvds, lovely linens, and coffee/tea fixin's, were very much appreciated. I woke early each morning to enjoy my coffee on the screened porch and take in the beautiful sunrise over the hills and countryside, then happily retreated to the cabin each night to watch the sun set and grill dinner in the backyard. The cabin is very clean and well-appointed, there is privacy in the back, and Joyce and Doug are just as pleasant as can be. The cabin is a building on their gorgeous and well-maintained property, but the cabin is set back a bit and the porch faces out of the mountains, so if you want privacy you will get it.
Hope to go back in the fall when the leaves are turning. So happy to have found this little gem.
Father and son (teenager) get-away over a long 4th of July weekend "away from it all". Quiet country location, no near-by roads or neighbors, big trees and valley view in the distance - including sunset. Cicadas and birds are the only noise makers. Friendly greeting by hosts Doug and Joyce, offering any and all amenities and assistance. The cabin is very clean, light, bright and spacious for two adults. Pictures on the web are accurate. The kids closet bed is a hoot and not too small. Kitchen has all appliances and supplies, bath has nice amenities including thick towels and even a fancy selection of toiletries. The A/C runs well. Fans on the screened patio make the reading in a rocking chair a pleasure. Lake DeGray is only 10 minutes away, Lake Ouachita and its surrounding mountains (hiking & biking) about an hour drive. Sausage on a stick at the campfire and the starry nighttime sky had even my son put his gizmo aside and listen to stories from his Dad.
Stayed there for Thursday-Sunday. Cabin is very nice and fully furnished. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to get away but doesn't want to stay in the city or hotel. About a mile from Lake DeGray and hiking, bike riding, etc. in the area. Food at restaurant is excellent also!
We stayed in this cozy cabin for our vacation. We enjoyed the time together and the views. If you stay here, be sure to visit the owners' restaurant on Hwy 7 for some of the best burgers in the state.
