Exquisite Lakefront Home!
My family and I have stayed at Lochaven for our annual family reunion for the past three summers. It has been a dream! Not only is the house and property gracious and elegant but also comfortable and accommodating. The main house is designed so well for a large group. There are several smaller rooms, in addition to the main living room, where one can go for a private moment, to read or have a cup of tea. We are a group of 16 and we never feel as if we are crowded and sitting on top of each other. The house is beautifully furnished without feeling fussy. The front lawn is a wonderful place to sit, as is the back yard with the pool, jacuzzi and tennis court. We even played a few games of volleyball (the backyard lawn is so spacious!). In addition, there is a local chef who has cooked for our group each summer and that makes it even more blissful. The beach itself is private and well groomed; the sand soft and gentle. For those who don't know that strip of lakefront, Lake Shore Drive (the street the house sits on) is breathtaking for its beauty. We walked up and down the gentle and uncrowded street in the mornings and strolled down it in the afternoons. It is the perfect beach home!
