The apartment is located on 31 street and Broadway Avenue. This fully furnished room unit is suitable up to 4 people. It may not be the most luxurious, but it is nice, simple, and the most convenient apartment and it comes with everything you would need for your stay in New York City. The apartment is in a safe area, within minutes away from the Empire State building. It is a walking distance away to all the major attractions such as Times Square, Central Park, Madison Square Garden, Theater District, Empire State building and so much more. Located in the heart of the city of New York, Midtown. Also within the area is Korea Town, a street dedicated to Korean/Asian culture foods, and entertainment. Tons of restaurants, bars, delis and grocery stores are nearby.

The apartment is located in the corner of 31st & 6 Ave (Broadway).

There is the Macy's department across the street, and other shopping retail stores such as Zara, Victoria's Secret, H&M, and more. The closest train station, Penn Station is within a 5-10 minute walk away from the apartment. Other attractions include Madison Square Garden, and the Empire State Building.

The most convenient, and central location in NYC.

BED BUGS, dirty shower, bedding stains

I received bed bug bites on my neck, hand and forearm from sleeping at this apartment. There was mildew/mold buildup in the corners of the shower and stains on the underside of one of the comforters (that appeared like excrement - gross!). The owner didn't respond and we checked out early. Owner has not provided a refund of any kind and has been uncooperative.

Additionally, there was no way that we could determine to regulate apartment temperature - we resorted to opening a window to do so (not ideal given 40 degree outside temps). The couch (futon) is incredibly uncomfortable. The neighbor, who sings over the top of his loud TV, smokes like a chimney and the smoke odor enters this apartment.

I am a seasoned traveller, including frequently to NYC, and also own vacation rental properties and am well aware of the minimum standards for accommodations. This property isn't close to minimum standards.

FABULOUS APARTMENT

Hi Sunny,
Thank you for the rental of your fabulous apartment which we stayed in for 4 nights in May 2012. The photographs and description of the apartment were exactly as advertised. The views were fanatastic and the location was ideal being so close to Times Square and other tourist attractions. The property was clean and very well maintained. The only crticism I would have is that the single beds are very hard and quite uncomfortable to sleep on. However, I would definitely stay here again and would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to friends and family alike.

A whole new New York

We had been to New York before but this stay was so different. Usually we stay in a hotel but we wanted a different feel. Staying at this location instantly made us feel like we were locals. Everything in our apartment was great. It was clean, tidy and comfortable. There was a little bit more noise from the traffic below but that added to the local feel. The funny thing is we all started calling it "home." At the end of the day we would say, "time to head home" and we meant this apartment. When it comes to vacations and stays like this I always have a million questions. Questions about internet, beds, location and the view. Thanks for taking the time to answer all of them and doing it in such a quick turn around time. When we come back you will see us again. Great time and location.
