Vista Cay Orlando Three Bedroom Disney Universal

Wish I had looked into this sooner. I travel to Orlando numerous times each year for business, mainly at the OCCC. This unit was well kept and convenient. I had some friends in for a couple of nights, before we started a golf vacation, and they liked it very much. We would consider these units for future golf trips.....the double beds are a drawback though.

This particular unit was well maintained and provided everything I needed. Unlike others, I don't expect things to be in perfect, unused condition.

Now that I know of these, I will not pay 2 or 3 times more to stay in a cramped hotel room near the Convention Center.

We rented through VBRO from 11 - 26 Feb 2013. While the condo was nice, in our opinion there are some things that were unacceptable. The ad stated the unit had wireless Internet. (The day I posted this review the advertisement still stated the unit has wireless access). When we arrived I inquired with the Vista Cay Management people and they informed me since we had rented directly from the owner it was his responsibility and they could not help us. I emailed the owner and his reply:
“Sorry the Internet is down and I haven’t gotten it replaced yet. There is wireless access at the clubhouse.” The clubhouse is about a 15 minute walk there and back, not very convenient.
Internet access was one of the important items we wanted as I operate a business. Our two grown daughters came for a week and they live on their iPhones. In addition we have elderly family members and friend we needed / wanted to stay in touch with. This does not include the charges that I will incur on my Blackberry for unnecessary roaming and data charges (still to be determined). I saw the Internet service provider a day or two later and asked him how long it would be from a request for service to actually having the service operational, he stated 2 – 3 days. If the owner cared, the service could have been easily been restored while we were there.
My second request to the woner was about the living room lamp. It would not work, so I replaced the bulb (from a working light) and plugged the lamp into a wall plug that I knew worked. When I emailed the owner about the light, his reply was “Maybe a switch somewhere.” Obviously he did not even read my message (different bulb and different plug). The lack of a table lamp made it very difficult to read in the living room in the evening with one dim overhead light.
Other issues/concerns
Kitchen – no dish cloths, tea towels, dish soap, pot holders; there were dishes (two of the plates were cracked) and pots and pans. We did find salt and pepper, coffee filters and a few paper plates.
Laundry – while the washer and dryer were fine there was no laundry soap
Master bedroom – the light switch on the wall was broken and very flaky (and somewhat dangerous) to turn light on.
Master bathroom – there was mold in the shower.
We have rented condos the last 5 winters through VBRO and never experienced the issues we had with this one. I guess the old adage ‘buyer beware’ applies.

I could not have been happier with this condo. It was clean, roomy, and so conveniently located to universal parks.
the owner was great to work with and the whole process was so smooth. Definitely would stay again.
