This resort estate compound is located in Tahoe Vista, CA on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. The property is approximately 200 ft. above the lake level and provides unobstructed vistas of the entire lake from a 4,500 square foot redwood deck as well as the first and second floors. Sunsets and sunrises are breathtaking. It is charmingly remote with 30+ acres of open forest behind the property. The main house sleeps a minimum of 8 and, if you add the optional Resort Rooms, an additional 8 to 10 can be easily accommodated.
A superb location with all kinds of summer and winter activities! In winter there is great skiing. In summer you can golf, hike, boat, swim and so much more including superb dining, casinos and shopping! For boaters there is a buoy available with dingy access (extra charge) and several public docks and landing areas close by.
THE MAIN HOUSE is approximately 6,500 sq. ft. (entire resort 15,000 sq. ft.) of your home away from home and will make your visit to this summer and winter wonderland unforgettable! This magnificent lake view home is nestled among the trees with outstanding views of Lake Tahoe and a wonderful sense of privacy and serenity. Watching the sunsets while relaxing on the very large deck or in the jetted hot tub is a fantastic way to wind down your day. Whether you are here to explore Lake Tahoe, or to retreat, relax and recharge, it is all here for you to enjoy. The large living room has a wet bar, flat screen TV with CD/DVD player and a fireplace! There’s a library/billiard room with a fully equipped billiard table; a study with a fireplace and wireless Internet throughout so if you must conduct business you have the proper tools. There’s also a formal dining room for entertaining, a mudroom, laundry room and two powder rooms on the first floor.
The fully equipped kitchen will tempt your gourmet impulses and there is a separate breakfast room with lake views. The three bedrooms in the main house all have spectacular views of Lake Tahoe and there is access to a balcony that spans the entire back of the house along the second floor. A TV and clock radio is in each room. For guests with special needs there’s a stairway chair lift to the second floor bedrooms. The large Vista Room has a king sized bed, fireplace, flat screen TV, a walk-in closet and separate his & hers bathrooms with a shower and tub. The Ponderosa and Aspen Rooms both have a king sized bed, access to the balcony and share a full bath.
To greet our guests there will be a welcome basket with shampoo, soap, body lotion, laundry detergent, coffee, etc. There is an ironing board & iron, toilet paper, paper towels, cable TV throughout and central heating. You will find ample linens and towels, but maid service will only be provided by request at an additional cost.
The main house is only available as a unit and the bedrooms will not be booked separately. Additional rooms can be added to expand the accommodations by adding one or more of the Resort Rooms.
There are three RESORT ROOMS, attached (separate entrance) to the main house, that can be rented with the main house. These accommodations would be great for friends or multi-generational families! All of these rooms have TV’s, clock radios, iron and ironing board and laundry room access. The Resort Rooms provide basic kitchen amenities such as a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, dishes, glassware and flatware. The Resort Rooms are not handicap accessible. The Lake View room is approximately 450 sq. ft. overlooking the lake with a king bed and a gas log stove. The Garden/Courtyard View room has a king bed, flat panel TV and very picturesque views. The Forest/Lake View accommodation is approximately 650 sq. ft., with views of the lake and the forest. There are two bedrooms with queen beds. The general living area has a dining table, a sleeper sofa and a gas log stove.
There is ample parking for cars, RV’s (no hookups), boats and trailers but no garage access. There is easy access to the mudroom and deck behind the house from the parking area.
During the summer this resort is often booked for weddings and other gatherings. As a courtesy to our guests we will not schedule any weddings or business gatherings, on the property, when guests have booked an accommodation. Accordingly there will be no guest accommodations available on dates when weddings or business gatherings are scheduled.
