PRIVATE OASIS ON YOUR OWN LAKE (50ACRES) & 30 TREED ACRES, OUTDOOR PARADISE.

Warrenton Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 bedrooms (1 is loft) 2 1/2 baths, sleeps 6. (1 queen bed, 2 double beds)

You will truly feel like you have escaped the hustle and bustle on this beautiful property. Authentic log cabin is perched on a hill overlooking a 50 acre private lake. Spend your days swimming, fishing (no license required as it is a private lake), canoeing, kayaking, and hiking. Dock and screened gazebo. Plus - one mile total private frontage on the Rappahannock River (in drier weather a 'headwater' stream in which kids can wade and splash and frolic).

The property is secluded and a true one-of-a-kind find. Three miles to the nearest state road. Without traffic, 1 1/4 hour drive to/from DC.

Lakeside gazebo, deck/dock area, swimming float. Kayaks, canoe.

This is a unique and private retreat. It is so far at the end of the road you will most likely not see anyone else during your stay. The porch is a favorite place for rocking and talking. The shaded picnic area and the campfire pit are wonderful gathering spots.

The gazebo and dock area are special places for kids and adults as well.

Guestbook comments from the owner
Want to thank you for the incredible week at your place. We caught some awesome fish including a 22" catfish and 15 large mouth bass! Hope they will still be here the next time we come. Words really can not describe the fun we had!

HEAVEN DOES EXIST!

  • 5 of 5
I wanted to take my husband away for his Birthday but didn't want to have to drive too far. The Cabin was the ideal location. The pictures you see posted are gorgeous but, they don't do the property justice. I have never witnessed or felt such serenity. We canoed, read in the hammocks, rocked on the deck, and enjoyed dining outside. Jan was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She gave us a very detailed description of the property and complete instructions. The Cabin was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. Waking up to watch the morning steam burn off the lake was a feeling I will hold on to forever. Simply breathtaking! Can't wait to go back.

CAMPING IN LUXURY...BEAUTIFUL!

  • 5 of 5
It was wonderful to arrive at the cabin and find that it was exactly as described and pictured. The directions were perfect. We had no problem finding the Cabin. We had a truck so the road into the Cabin was no problem. We really enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing and peaceful. We had camp fires at night and used the fishing boat and kayak's. The view from the porch was wonderful to sit and enjoy in the morning or anytime. We left the Cabin twice to go into Washington and Luray Caverns. Both locations were within an hour of the Cabin. The only disappointment was the floating dock. It was covered in feathers and bird droppings; however I'm sure that this is not uncommon for a lake dock. Staying at this Cabin allows you to have the best of both worlds. You can go to tourist attractions and then return to a wonderfully peaceful location to relax and recharge. We really loved it!!! Thank you so very much for wonderful vacation memories!

WONDERFUL!

  • 5 of 5
Unbelievable retreat and sanctuary! We had the luxury of being able to stay for 10 days, so really got to enjoy all the cabin and area had to offer. We were very active and were probably away from the cabin 12 hours most days, so it was big enough for our family of 6. It was a great base to visit many local sites from. And the owners are great to work with -- communicated well and gave us perfect instructions on how to find it (even in the dark of night). Though if you are arriving at night you will need a flashlight to find the keybox on a tree for the gate lock, and you will need something more robust than a sports car to navigate the last mile or two to the cabin (muddy roads and steep hills). We loved the huge yard, the tree swing, the lake and the floating dock (where we lazily enjoyed the sun and doing nothing). We did canoe about the lake, but mostly hung out around the house and watched the abundant wildlife in the evenings. If you are looking for a beautiful cabin get away deep in the woods, this is the perfect spot!

VACATION PARADISE

  • 5 of 5
This was our second stay at the lake cabin. We had a wonderful, relaxing week. The cabin is very clean and has everything you could possibly need. The lake is beautiful and the owners supply kayaks, a canoe and boats for fishing which we made use of every day. This year one of our children and his family joined us for part of the week and the grandchildren had a blast! The rope swing and floating dock were big hits! We especially enjoyed seeing all the wildlife. (deer, bald eagle, rabbits, frogs, turtles, great blue heron) We hated to leave and are really looking forward to our next visit. If you want to relax and get away from it all, there's no better place. We are so greatful to Steve and Jan for sharing their vacation paradise.

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION/ RELAXING OASIS

  • 5 of 5
The cabin was so quaint and comfortable. It was everything Jan said it would be and more. My family and I enjoyed our time in the woods and once we arrived, we all agreed, what a well thought out retreat. Everything we could have wanted was provided by our wonderful hosts! We took great advantage of the kayaks, the hamocks, the fishing rods, floating dock and my favorite time of day was sitting on the porch in the morning watching the bald eagle fly by! I was slightly disappointed that I didn't see the albino deer, but there was plenty of nature to observe. Butterflies abounded and the cutest little frogs I've ever seen! We enjoyed our stay completely.
No one could believe such a place was as close as Warrenton, which was totally convenient for all of my family.
I will recommend this to friends and family who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life, but not have to drive hours to get there.

PERFECT VACATION SPOT

  • 5 of 5
My family and I can't say enough about this lovely cabin and vacation spot. The house is lovely, very clean and well maintained. My two teenage daughters stayed in the loft, and were perfectly comfortable. It was 100 degrees the week we were there, so we were grateful for the ac! The cabin has everything you could need. We have rented different cabins throughout the summers but this was by far the best! The grounds are beautiful, as is the lake. The owners have everything you need for a perfect, restful vacation. We spent our days curled up with a book, either on the deck, in the hammocks or inside in the recliners. We swam, went kayaking and jumped off the floating dock. The have a few floats that you can lie on and float around the lake. My husband went fishing in the lake and also walked the short distance to the river. It is a very quiet spot, a slice of heaven! We highly recommend it and hope to come back soon!
