Two professionals interested in kayaking, boating, swimming, and fishing. We enjoy outdoor activities and being in nature.
Karen Tichy purchased this house in 2005
This property offers every outdoor experience you could dream of. Hiking, boating, fishing, biking, nature watching. It is an all encompassing experience that offers many beautiful, quiet moments in nature. It is also very convenient to travel to from the metro Detroit area. Get the up north feel without the 4 hour drive.
Sitting on the deck and watching the water and wildlife is beautiful. We also enjoy kayaking, boating, and fishing. The front yard is just as amazing with the wildlife roaming the corn field and private lane. Ask about Weekly Rates.
Lovely, lovely home. The pictures do not really do it justice. We had a great time and loved being in the home. Great location, out of the way, but very close to a Walmart, Target, VG's (24 hours), etc. My only advice to anyone visiting the home is to do a thorough inventory before you go out and buy anything. We found so many things left behind in the nooks and crannies of the house and realized that we didn't have to purchase quite a few things. For example, my family left plenty of toilet paper, laundry detergent, spices, coffee, to last quite a while.
What can I say that hasn't already been said? It's an immaculate property in a beautiful setting. I look forward to my next stay (which will be my 3rd).
The photos do not do this place justice! The house is way better in person, The only loud noise is the train that comes by one a day maybe, but other than that, this house was amazing and I can't wait to rent it again next year!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home, it was so relaxing and peaceful, beautiful view over looking the lake, we rented a boat and went on the lake it was beautiful, my husband really enjoyed the fishing, we will definitely be back, thank you for opening your beautiful home to us Jerry and Samantha.
Some of the hottest, driest Michigan days in a long time were enjoyed in this chilled, secluded, well appointed ranch house with lovely well furnished lounge like lower level. Less than an hour bee-line from downtown Ann Arbor. We all enjoyed our stay, from 12 year olds to 52 -- including my 18 year old nephew who uses a wheelchair. Swimming at the two local beaches, a lovely water ski show, volleyball, basketball, our badmitten in the front yard, biking, fishing off the home's creekside dock, all great fun. Bring your water vessel. Regretted choosing the 2 bikes over our canoe. Friendly neighbors. Quick drives to grocery shopping, and other staples, etc. Sweet sunsets. Owner and manager were quick and attentive to all comments, questions and concerns before, during and after our stay.
We just got back from this wonderful vacation house. It was spotless, beautiful and relaxing. A recently updated kitchen looked out on a great sun-porch, then on to the picture perfect lake. We came from Nevada, so we didn't have a boat, but next time, we will rent ahead of time (no boats available for the 4th of July). The upstairs master bedroom was huge and we loved having a TV for watching late at night. We ate on the deck, because the view was just so beautiful. Our kids and grandkids came to visit for a few days and they had their own beautiful living quarters downstairs including a full bathroom and two full bedrooms with their own living room! The property manager was fabulous. I had a few ants one morning in the kitchen, called and she was there within an hour to solve the problem. No more ants!
We will definitely rent this property again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacation property in the Holly, Linden, Fenton area!!
