If it matters, you would be interested to know that several movie stars live in the building and a lot more VIP in the immediate neighborhood. 4 metro stations at walking distance so easy to get around.

What a wonderful immersion we had in Paris! My husband and I rented this apartment in the heart of the Marais for the month of December. Our two adult sons joined us for the second half of the month and we all found the home-away-from-home to be charming, comfortable, clean, and well located for restaurants, shopping, public transportation, and tourist attractions. The two bedrooms (queen and king beds) and two baths were perfect for our family. The rooms in the apartment were spacious and they easily accommodated the four of us. Like all of the rooms, the kitchen had large windows that opened easily for fresh air on warm, sunny days. During our stay the modern appliances, excellent recipe books, and colorful porceline even encouraged attempts at some French cooking!
Sharing his knowledgeable about the history of the Marais and Place des Vosges, Olivier could not have been more kind and accommodating. He made sure we were settled and he was quick to respond to any needs or questions which were few. He also provided recommendations for local specialty shops and restaurants. He takes great pride in his antique furnishings as he should--they are beautiful and add character to the apartment decor truly turning the clock back and making our stay in Place des Vosges seem like yesterday with all the convenience of today!
My friend and I have wanted to stay here for the past three years, but always waited too late to make reservations. This time I booked in November of 2012 for Sept/October 2013
and, finally, we had our dream apartment. It was worth the wait. You will not find a more comfortable apartment nor a more accommodating owner. Everything you may need is at hand. Restaurants, grocery stores, Monoprix ( think Target) and a wonderful bakery right on the corner. Walk towards the Bastille and you have one of the bestd open air markets in the city (Marche Bastille on Sundays). Walk a little further and you have three movie theaters and the opera. Do you love clothes? Then you will think you died and went to heaven as you shop the streets of the Marais. There are three metro stops close by, as well as a number of bus routes. And, of course, the best thing after a busy day-return to your home away from home to have a glass of wine and plan your supper or stay in and plan your next day.
My wife and I and our two young adult daughters just spent a wonderful week in Paris using this lovely apartment as our home base. The apartment was everything as advertised and more. We had one unpleasant weather day and were pleased to find umbrellas hanging on the coat rack in the apartment entry.
We ate breakfast each morning in the apartment and all other meals out and about. Especially enjoyed two dinners at the Page 35 restaurant that is only two blocks from the apartment.
Walked and used Metro for all transportation. Almost anything anyone could possibly need or want to see or do was easily accessible.
Olivier and his assistant, Salvadore, were great to work with. Can't think of anything that could have worked out better.
What a wonderful base for our first trip to Paris! My husband and I were with our three children (aged 11-16) and this apartment was perfect. Notwithstanding the Place des Vosges address, Le Marais is full of interesting shops, bars and restaurants. We loved the local supermarket (Monoprix) where we stocked up on the basics for our week-long stay. A short walk to the metro, the Seine and Notre Dame. We even walked to the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe. The only major sights requiring the metro would be Mont Martre (Sacre Coeur) and the Eiffel Tower. Olivier met us at the door and provided us with everything we needed to know for our stay. The extensive book, travel guide and music collection was a bonus! It was also great to have a computer with wi-fi. I would recommend this charming apartment to anyone travelling to Paris and hope to stay there again - soon!
Just back from a great weekend at this wonderful apartment.
The booking process was easy and quick. Olivier met me at the door when I arrived and kindly showed me around.
The apartment was clean and well presented. It's a great space. It's easy to settle in. You really do feel part of Parisian life.
The wifi connection was good. It was helpful to have the use of a computer.
Lots of floor-to-ceiling windows give plenty of light and look on to interesting Parisian vistas.
The kitchen was well equipped and user friendly. The bedrooms were large with big, very comfortable beds. The living room has lots of character. The sofa is comfortable and clean. There are lots of interesting books to browse (fiction, non-fiction and guidebooks). We didn't start on the music collection. The two bathrooms were good. The showers were powerful.
The building itself was modern, secure and clean. It's in a fantastic location in central Paris. There's plenty on your doorstep in terms of bakeries, cafes, restaurants, transport. All of central Paris is an easy and very pleasant walk.
What a perfect choice. We hit lucky with this. There's no complaints at all. We had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thanks to our hosts.
We stayed here for a week as a family of four with 2 children ages 15 and 12. We had a wonderful time. The apartment is one of the best we have ever stayed in in Paris. Very clean, well organized, very quiet, airy. We all loved the location just off the Place des Vosges. There are lots of nice cafes and shops, as well as restaurants in the area. The Place St. Catherine, a lively place with restaurants in the evening especially, is right around the corner. Lots of busses as well as close to St. Paul metro. I would highly recommend this apartment. Having two full baths was especially nice and almost unheard of in Paris! Fully equiped kitchen, grocery stores just around the corner. Can't say enough to recommend this place! If you arrive in the early morning, though, you should actually rent the place from the day before so that you can get in when you arrive. It's VERY POPULAR so you can't expect to move in just as the previous people are leaving.
