Located in a very quiet neighborhood on a beautiful lot, we know you will call this house home as you walk through the door. Perfectly designed for your vacation retreat, this comfy little house is ideally suited for group fun when it's time to relax.This home features 3 floors of living space with two family rooms (one with a 60' TV), wireless internet, phone and cable. A fully equipped galley kitchen is just the right size to create delightful meals. The house is beautifully decorated and comes complete with a full sized washer and dryer, all towels and linens, a bedroom with two twin beds in a cozy nook. The master bedroom has a queen, and the 3rd bedroom has a full. Come and enjoy all the area has to offer; only 5 miles to Bretton Woods, 11 miles to Cannon Mountain, 25 miles to Loon, also near golfing, hiking, fishing, and relaxing! Direct access to snowmachine trails.

Ski Bretton Woods - NH's Largest Ski Area: Visit Bretton Woods, NH's largest ski area with 434 acres of skiing and snowboarding, including 101 trails and glades, as well as four terrain parks! Ten lifts, including four high-speed quads, make your ride up the mountain almost as fun as the ride down. Voted 'Best in the East for Weather' by SKI magazine, if there's snow falling, chances are they've got it - or are snowmaking on 92% of the trails. And, because you'll want to stay on the slopes until after dark, they also offer night skiing, which of course, is a blast!

Twin Mountain, NH Hiking: Twin Mountain is located in the heart of the White Mountains. There are many hiking trails for the beginner to the advanced rock climber. Located along the Appalachian Trail, Twin Mountain is the place hikers rest and plan their outdoor adventures.

Twin Mountain is located just five miles north of the Franconia Notch State Park, where the old man of the mountains once was perched. There are many hikes located in the Park; here is a sample:

Bald Mountain and Artist's Bluff

Reached by a short hike, offers fine views of Cannon Mt. and Franconia Notch. The 1.5 mile loop begins in the parking area across Route 18 from Peabody Base Lodge. After 1/4 mile a short, steep path diverges left for 1/10 mile to the open summit of Bald Mountain. The main trail continues on from the junction and bears right, up and across the low ridge. A short unmarked path diverges left to the open top of Artists Bluff. The main trail continues down to Route 18 near Echo Lake.

Snowmachines!: The house has direct access to the vast network of snowmachine trails. You can literally ride from the driveway up to Canada.

What a Find! .....a perfect getaway cottage.....

This 'basic' cottage has it all...............Cozy, yet spacious with a layout that provides for privacy along with good common space.

The welcoming, cheerful decor of this dollhouse includes some fun, thoughtful surprises! And the location is convenient--------just minutes to skiing and other outdoor activities.

We loved our stay and look forward to our next trip!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful Twin Mountains

We decided to go visiting the Twin Mountains area for the weekend, and we chose this place to stay, since it was conveniently located. We were pleasantly surprised by all the nice decorations which make this house so cozy and welcoming. Also worth mentioning is the nice little welcoming gift that Mary and John left for us, which were a bottle of wine and some popcorn.

The house has everything you need, from a fully equipped kitchen to TVs/wireless internet. There's a nice BBQ grill on the terrace, but don't forget to bring charcoal if you plan to use it!

All in all we enjoyed our stay, and we would love to find the time to come again.

Perfect Accommodations

This is the perfect place to stay while visiting the many attractions in the Twin Mountains area. Having been a first time user to locate a vacation rental online, we were extremely pleased. The home (yes, we felt like we were at home!) was even better than the wonderful pictures/descriptions. It was well equipped and immaculate inside and out. It is lovingly taken care of and the amenities were perfect, and the hom is very secure. John and Mary really made us feel like guests in their home. Besides the welcoming note, bottle of vino and ingredients for smores, they were thougthful enough to call us, making sure we were comfortable and had all that we needed. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out! The home is perfectly located so we could enjoy the many attractions - exploring river beds along Route 302, kayaking in Conway, mountain climbing in the Crotched Notch area, enjoying a relaxing evening on the Mt. Washington Omni Hotel's veranda, riding the Bretton Woods (free) chair lift to their Latitudes restaurant, and riding their zipline. There is also a store located nearby to pick up any essentials. We are already recommending this gem to our family and friends....and plan on returning!
Suggestion: Stay at least one day longer than you plan - it is worth it!

We know the area very well and come here very often. So let me just say a few words about the house. We are "frequent renters" of such places and I have to say that this was one of the easiest and smoothest renting experiences. Little things like an easy to operate electronic front door, PayPal transaction, simple utilities made it easer than usually. The house itself is very cozy and very well maintained. Although the house is not large it offers a lot of privacy as it basically has two leaving rooms.

It's a review so I have to point to some negatives, right? :) The kitchen and the main leaving room are on a small size but is certainly adequate for a moderate size group.

Overall, we had great time, thank you so much!

We were pleasantly surprised at how well decorated and clean Mary's Dollhouse is, from nice paintings on the walls to country curtains. It is classy yet welcoming and comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms are cozy and cute and although the twin bedded room had no door it was still a private space. For summer travelers, there are fans in every room which were a lifesaver as the temp was quite warm while we were there and there is no AC. Luckily we could retreat to the beautiful downstairs family room which was always cool, even on the hottest day. Not a bad place to be with a big 60 inch TV to watch:)..and in winter, a charming gas fireplace.
There are 4 TV's with cable. Two great features of Mary's Dollhouse are access to the internet and a full size washer and dryer. They have thought of everything! Our family consisted of 4 adults and one baby. The house was perfect, but it would have been cramped if there were many more .John and Mary have done a wonderful job maximizing every inch of space. We look forward to staying again in winter at Mary's dollhouse.
