Studio, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2) - Adults only

Two properties to choose from:

Studio Loft (3rd Floor) - Beautiful professionally decorated studio loft apartment with private deck located on Broad Street in Downtown Charleston, South Carolina. Located on the third floor above art gallery and owner's real estate office. Finishes include heart pine floors, marble surfaces, white-washed brick walls & beams, high definition television & best location in town. 2 bicycles & beach chairs included. Very private. Larger of the 2 apartments available in building - see smaller studio in 'other listings' link - VRBO #405642.

Please check calendar for availability before contacting owner. Email owner for rates for your specific dates after checking calendar (please). Also, because we have 2 apartments in the building, we do not allow children (or babies) to ensure the most comfortable stay possible for the other guests.

Optional parking is available in secure lot on street behind building for $8 per day.

Linens are included. Household items/appliances include coffee maker, microwave, cooktop stove (loft only) disposal, fridge, ice maker (loft only), pop-up toaster, tea kettle, blender, high-definition television, sound machine, iPod Player/Speaker, hairdryer, iron & small ironing board, dishes, coffee, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, beach chairs & beach towels, cooler.

About Mari Wood

I am a real estate broker and my loft rental is located on the 3rd floor of my historic building on Broad Street. I run a small real estate business out of the 2nd floor and I have an art gallery as a tenant on the first floor. I am in and out but available by email or phone with any questions or issues during your stay.

Almost everything you would want to see in Historic Downtown Charleston is within 4 blocks of our location (The Battery, Waterfront Park & Pier, Exchange Building, historic mansions & churches, cobblestone streets, restaurants, bars,shopping, etc.).

Beautiful deck overlooking Charleston's historic rooftops, modern renovation historic building dating to mid 1800's. Privacy is key as you are the only tenant of the third floor. Bikes are included for guests' exlusive use.

Upon arriving I had trouble finding my reserved parking which the staff was very happy to help me with. The location was great and within walking distance to everything downtown and the waterfront park. We did a haunted ghost tour the very first night which met around the block from our apartment which was convenient. The provost dungeon was also very nice to tour to get some overview of the history available in Charleston which is literally 50 yards from the apartment. Kit and her staff were very organized with a binder available to us in the apartment with recommendations on food, activities etc. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the apartment had a great feel to it with access to the private patio. The bathroom with the rainfall shower head was a very nice feature. Perfect for a couple looking to get away. The bikes and beach items made available to us were a big bonus as we biked every morning as well as visited two beaches during our stay. If you like relaxing on the back patio and having a few beers I recommend the Charleston beer exchange which is a 2 minute walk. It is ideal for purchasing a couple growlers at a fair price and then keeping them in the fridge at the apartment for later. Me and my fiancé will definitely be back for another extended weekend trip in the future. Don't look anywhere else reserve your dates now!

Dear Mari:
We are back from our wonderful week in Charleston. It was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday with family and extended family. The apartment is WONDERFUL and just as I had imagined it. The attention to detail was quite remarkable with every conceivable thing that would make one comfortable, was provided. Harriett did a great of job of cleaning for us and left the apartment spotless.
I so appreciated the time you took to address the various questions that I had and especially arranging with Kit for me to receive packages. In addition, the delivery from Goat.Cow.Cheese was wonderful and we bought all our wine from them after that first night. Both Patty and Trudy were delightful. Speaking of delightful, Danny was great! He was always in the Gallery and greeted us with a smile and some brief conversation. I cannot thank Judy enough for all that she did to make us comfortable. We especially enjoyed meeting her 2 fabulous dogs who are just so funny together.
When I realized that you lived in Charlotte, I did not expect to see you but want you to know if you and your husband are every planning a trip to Costa Rica, I would be happy to help you with your planning.
Clearly it was a wonderful experience and will highly recommend Kit’s Loft to friends.

This is the perfect location for a stay in Charleston. Kit's staff went out of there way to make our trip great. The private balcony in the back was a wonderful place to have your morning coffee or a late night drink. The location is within 2-3 blocks of all of the great spots in town. The bikes were also a nice touch as we went in numerous rides.

What a fabulous week in Charleston! Kit's place was beautiful and comfortable, and made the perfect home base for touring the city and the surrounding area. It is in close proximity to great restaurants and shops, and the beautiful sights of Charleston. The only time we used the car was to go out of town to the plantations and the festival in Summerville. We enjoyed starting the day with coffee on the deck while planning our daily agenda. Kit and and her staff were gracious hosts, and provided us with helpful information about sights and good places to eat. We would definitely want to stay in the loft on our next trip to Charleston, and would enthusiastically recommend the loft to our friends and family.
