You can walk out the back door and pick fresh fruit from the multitude of fruit trees such as mango, banana, plantain, lime, coconut and breadfruit. As well, you can watch the macaws having breakfast in the almond trees at the front of the house. You can take a dip in the sparkling pool, enjoy a siesta, or curl up with a book in our hammock. For entertainment take a drive to Jaco, located 20 minutes from the house, where you can enjoy browsing in the many shops for treasures made by the local artists. There you'll find beautiful hand-made bowls, wall hangings and jewelry made from the native wood. You can also enjoy local cuisine at one of the many restaurants, or have a drink at the Funky Monkey Bar.
Shopping:
A newly built shopping plaza is a 10 minute drive from the house. There you'll find a modern grocery store that carries many of the popular and familiar brands that you can find at home. There is a Subway and a Pizza Hut, as well as a pharmacy, video store and even a Radio Shack.
Things to do in the area.:
Horseback riding, atv tours, visit Central Pacific's tallest waterfall, Carara National Park (see 300 species of birds, monkeys, black and green frogs and trees over 500ft tall).
