This place is awesome!

We loved this place! We stayed here in May 2010. It's located in the middle of the jungle with a fantastic view. The location is secluded enough to relax and be able to have fun whenever we wanted whether it was chilling by the pool, talking and listening to music until the wee hours of the morning, bbqing or simply enjoying a quiet night. At the same time, downtown Puerta Vallarta was only about 15 minutes away by car (a bit longer whenever we called for a cab).
The house itself is amazing. The rooms were on par with 5-star hotels we have stayed at (we particularly enjoyed the master suite, which is on the entire top floor and has more square feet than some apartments) and the staff was attentive, helpful and efficient. On top of that the owners were available too if we had so wished. In fact, Steve welcomed us on the day of our arrivals with some yummy Margaritas and gave us a general idea of things to do. Also, the Mismaloya beach is just down the hill from the house, where we looked for Alejandro and he set us up with chairs right on the sand.
We did find that although the house is rather cool and air conditioned, the downtown area gets on the hot side during the summer months and the humidity makes you feel it. Also, we recommend renting a car at least for some of the time since moving by taxi or bus isn't always as fast as we would have liked. In any case, this vacation was so much fun we hope we can repeat it next year.
