Photos and Description of the Asheville vacation rental
1 Bedrooms, 1 Bathrooms, Convertible bed(s), Sleeps 4
Nestled in the heart of Asheville, amongst hemlocks and old oaks is the 1896 historic Ben Jones House with a beautiful country cottage just for you. The cottage sits adjacent to the main house, and sleeps 2 people but also has a futon just in case you have an extra guest or 2. The off street parking makes it much easier to unload the car too! The covered veranda is a great place to enjoy the summer eves, or if you like the sunshine, a beautiful new deck with a hot tub is available. A full kitchen with all the amenities is provided. Bridgett has an aromatherapy store inside the main house where one can purchase items to take home or use in the cottage. There is also a treatment room in the main house in which aromatherapy, acupuncture, migun bed, steam and massage are available upon request. Riverside cemetery is a beautiful walk along tree lined Pearson Drive. Our famous local author Thomas Wolfe is remembered there along with several others. It in itself is a great place to enjoy a long leisurely walk. I often ride my bike in the huge cemetery, where I always enjoy a homemade picnic lunch. There is a peace about it. Also on the same street where the cottage is, is the Montford Park Players where you can enjoy outdoor Shakespearean theatre during the summer. Something only the locals know about.
