This is a charming and characteristic farm house (200 sq. m) which has been created from the careful restoration with bio-architecture technicians and is situated on the hill in front of the small town of Sovicille. Within a 1 km radius are all kinds of shops and it is only 12 km from Siena's historic town centre and 8 km from the wild romantic river Merse where you can take a bath. There are beautiful views of the countryside and the woods and is set in an absolutely peaceful position. There is approx 6,000 m² of grounds with equipped outdoor areas and parking. The ground floor is equipped with an open loggia, living room (satellite TV), 1 double bedroom with an extra armchair bed, 1 twin bedroom, 1 bathroom with hip bath and 1 bathroom with shower. The 1st floor (accessed from outside only) has a kitchen/dining room (dishwasher), 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 1 single bedroom, 1 bathroom with bath (washing machine) and 1 bathroom with shower.

A month in Tuscany.

This year being our 40th wedding anniversary we decided to hire "podere di Sole" as a base and invite our extended family to come and join us at various times during the month of September.
Firstly the booking was made very simple by Bernhard, and all questions were suitably dealt with speedily.
Being already familar with this part of Italy, we picked this particular location because it was particularly suitable for visiting the Major Tuscan Cities, Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo not forgetting Siena which was a 10 minute drive away. Also it was within 30 kilometres of the Chianti district with all it's beautiful hills, towns and villages.
If you were feeling a little adventurous, Assisi, Orvieto, and lake Trasimeno are all within easy reach.

Should you just wish to relax then the "farmhouse was ideal being situated as it is amongst woodland, close to Sovicille an old small Italian town with a very picturesque square. There is a Supermarket located there, within walking distance which had most things we required.
In the Farmhouse Bernard had left several sheets of information about emergency services local restaurants etc,and all around were leaflets telling us about the local area, so we were very well informed.
Clara who looks after the Farmhouse was at the other end of a phone so should we require her assistance she was always ready to help.
We hugely enjoyed our stay at the Podere di Sole and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in "Toscana"

Great house; wonderful pool!

...the peace and quiet of the villa, the garden, swimming pool, the living room, sat tv, internet... it all worked and was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. We took day trips to Siena, Florence, the Chianti region and the Brunello region and even Rome in our own car. So the location was also great: quiet and yet not too far from all these beautiful (but busy) places... If we come back to Italy again, this place will be on the top of our list!

This is a wonderful location, 500m outside of the small village. The villa met our needs perfectly. I recommend to anyone to stay here for tranquillity, comfort and accessibility to Siena and the rest of Tuscany. This is a perfect location for a family with children to relax and vacation together. Votre maison a été un point de chute ideál pour quelques Parisiennes amateurs d’art, de peinture, d’architectures mais aussi de vins fins e de bonne chère. Gérard Chevalier-F. Es ist ein Haus mit viel Charme u Charakter. Wir waren entzückt, es gibt so viele Argumente im und für Haus & Pool. Susanne Löwen-D. Wir haben die umliegenden antiken Städte, Villa und Natur und den wunderschönen Pool genossen. Sehr bereichert hat uns die tolle Buchauswahl im Wohnzimmer. Ulrike Gallnick-D. Wir sitzen hier auf Hauses Stufen und hören die Fasanen rufen.

Schönes, geräumiges Haus für Familien oder Gruppen. Nahe an den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Südtoscana. Großer Garten. Eigener Pool. Direkt am Wald. Für Kinder ideal, wenn man nicht unbedingt das Meer haben muss. Sehr angenehme Vermieter.

Tolles Anwesen, absolut empfehlenswert!!!

Mit zwei Familien (insgesamt 9 Personen) haben wir im Juli zwei Wochen Urlaub in diesem Objekt gebucht.
Zunächst hatten wir einen ausgesprochen netten Kontakt zum Vermieter, wir bekamen ungefragt reichlich Informationen über das Haus sowie die Umgebung.
Gleich nach der Ankunft konnten wir uns von dem ausgezeichneten Zustand des Hauses überzeugen, alles sehr sauber, gemütlich eingerichtet und geräumig.
Der Pool war ebenfalls sehr schön und bestens gepflegt.
Unsere Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort war für uns ständig erreichbar, sprach perfekt deutsch und hatte für uns auch Tipps für Ausflüge parat. Alle paar Tage kam sie vorbei um den Pool und die Blumen zu pflegen und sich zu erkundigen, ob alles ok sei. Perfekter Service!
Die Lage des Anwesens ist einmalig schön, der Garten durch den alten Baumbestand teilweise schattig und dadurch auch in den heißen Mittagsstunden gut zu nutzen.
Für Ausflüge in die Toskana, zB nach Florenz, Pisa und Siena ist die Lage des Hauses nahezu optimal.
Alles in allem ein perfekter Urlaub, absolut empfehlenswert!
Wir werden sicher nicht das letzte Mal agewesen sein.
