Our cabin is Located in a private forested setting on a very quiet and secluded street, backing to a greenbelt. We have a flat, easy access, sunny driveway and provide snowplowing. Our home has a great location. Less than a mile (and walking distance) from our vacation home you can find the new Trout Creek recreation and fitness center (swimming pools, sauna, gym, etc), new fine restaurant and bar, golf course, driving range and sledding hill. A few steps from our door are the Donner Trail and National Forest land Just walk out the door to go hiking, mountain biking and snowshoeing. Horseback riding in summer, or World Class cross country skiing in winter is only 5 minutes away. Sugarbowl, Squaw, Northstar and Alpine Meadows are only 20 min away.
If you don't feel like enjoying all these TD amenities, relax in our HOT TUB on our very private back deck and watch the snow filter through the trees. Or cozy up next to the pellet wood stove (pellets provided). Or enjoy the sun on the front deck, spa tub in the master bath, 2 TVs, direct TV, large assortment of videos, games, books and sleds or free WiFi.
Our home is located in the beautiful resort community of Tahoe Donner. Tahoe-Donner offers a great Lake Tahoe vacation experience all year round. In the winter, the convenient downhill ski area is great for young families and beginners. The cross-country ski area is world class, offering access to 4,800 acres of terrain. The golf course driving range becomes a snow-play area with sled rentals. In the summer the community offers 3 pools (1 adult only), a tennis center with 11 courts, an equestrian center. and a semi-private beach club on Donner lake with Kayak, sailboat, and paddle boat rentals. It also has two restaurants including the newly completed Tahoe-Donner Lodge. Because Tahoe-Donner is right off highway 80, it is 20-30 minutes closer to the Bay Area and provides easier access to all the ski resorts and golf courses than communities nearer Lake Tahoe.
