Alpenglow represents the old Crested Butte affection… renovated yet not losing its mining heritage’s char ; this wonderful home is a great in-town, comfortable getaway! Located just one block off Elk Avenue on the coveted west side of town, this single family residence offers ample space, big views and a fenced in backyard.

The entry/mudroom provides all the room for your skis and gear so it’s well out of your way during your stay. Entering the home, a warm and embracing living area with overstuffed sofas and a natural gas heater welcomes the weary after a long day of skiing or biking. Tucked off the living area is the first bedroom with a beautiful queen poster bed. Moving towards the center of the house is a cozy bunkroom with a single up top and a full below. Just beyond is a full bath, complete with an antique claw foot tub! In the rear of the first floor is a spacious ‘cook’s’ kitchen complete with a pantry and island with sink that is open to the dining area.

The layout allows for everyone to be part of the fun no matter if you’re the chef or guest! Moving upstairs is the cathedral ceiling, light filled master bedroom with king bed. Across the hall is the ¾ bath with 2nd skylight and off this bathroom is the washer and dryer. The second half of the upstairs is an open layout with a futon and a love seat perfect for quiet time reading. The back porch off the dining room has a grill for those summer time cookouts. The large, fenced backyard is a great place to relax in summer or build that ultimate snowman in the winter… Big views surround this home in every direction.

Situated on Maroon, this spot is nice and quiet, yet just one block from Elk to all the shopping and restaurants of downtown. The free mountain express shuttle is located just 2 blocks away, ready to whisk you up to the world class skiing Crested Butte is known for.
