Tucked away on a hidden lane in Asheville’s popular Montford Historic District is “Goodnight Moon,” a delightful Craftsman-style “tree house” cottage only 1.3 miles from downtown.
Stylish and super-comfortable, the cottage feels like it’s in the middle of the woods... and yet you can walk to all that downtown Asheville has to offer in 25 minutes. (It's a 5 minute drive to downtown). The Montford neighborhood is quiet, friendly, safe and walkable.
Downtown Asheville is something of a cultural magnet, with many fine dining establishments, eclectic shops and myriad opportunities to enjoy the arts.
On the first floor of the cottage you’ll find a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and plenty of closet space, an “open plan” living area with a comfy convertible sofa, a fully-equipped kitchen/dining area and a spacious bathroom with a washer-dryer.
A spiral staircase leads you upstairs and across an attractive catwalk to the second bedroom, which has a queen-sized bed and a view of the treetops. The house is tastefully decorated throughout, complementing its interesting architectural features.
Outside the cottage you can relax on the large and shady wraparound porch with a gas grill, plenty of seating and an umbrella table for al fresco dining.
The house ideally sleeps up to four guests. We welcome well-supervised kids and pets. Please ask about any animals you may wish to bring. A Graco portable crib, kiddy gates and a dog crate are available upon request. We have off-street parking for two cars.
