Why waste hours and hours in traffic on Highway 89 trying to get to overcrowded, congested Tahoe City?? Come to fabulous Tahoe Donner! Located right off Highway 80, Tahoe Donner is a 10 minute drive from the freeway. Nestled above historic downtown Truckee, Tahoe Donner is a housing association that offers many amenities for families on vacation - *downhill skiing, *cross country skiing and *snow play area in the winter; *two swimming pools, *private beach club at Donner Lake, *fitness center, *18-hole golf course, *driving range, clubhouse and *horseback riding in the summer months(*amenities are extra cost and not included in rental fees).
When you decide on Tahoe Donner, we have the perfect cabin for your stay! With three bedrooms and two and ½ baths, you can see this family owned cabin has been lovingly maintained over the years. The open floor plan downstairs is inviting with lots of windows with pretty wooded views. There is a modern kitchen next to the dining room with a big farm table for family gatherings. The family room has a TV/DVD player, two couches and gorgeous river rock fireplace. There is a half bath and laundry room downstairs as well. We also offer wireless internet access. The big deck off the front room is perfect for barbecuing, eating at the outside table or roasting marshmallows in the summer in the portable fire pit.
The master bedroom is downstairs and offers a comfortable queen-size log bed, walk-in closet, TV and private bathroom. There is also a back deck off the master suite that is perfect for some moments of solitude. You can also enjoy the hammock and badminton net in the warmer months. There are two bedrooms upstairs including the bunk bed room (double on bottom; single on top) which also has a TV/VCR, books and games for the kids’ enjoyment. The third blue themed bedroom at the top of the stairs has a queen bed with brand new mattresses and pretty quilt. We also have two twin size rollaway beds available for your use. (Please note: all beds are unmade upon guest arrival unless requested.)
Our cabin has a nice flat driveway for easy access in the winter and can easily fit three cars. We are a convenient five minute drive to Tahoe Donner downhill ski area and 10 minutes to the acclaimed Tahoe Donner Cross Country ski trails. It is a 20 minute drive to Northstar and Squaw Valley, and 30 minutes to Sugar Bowl and Alpine Meadows. Forget the madness of Tahoe City! Come and stay at Tahoe Donner and be just as close to the ski resorts but with less traffic to get there!
