Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Low Country on the Isle of Palms, South Carolina! A five minute walk from our cottage will have your toes in the sand of the seven miles of beaches listening to the call of the seagull while you stroll the windswept dunes searching for shells and watch for pelicans fly in perfect formation; or spend the day sunning, swimming, surfing and building the greatest sand castle!
Just a short walk up and across the street is our deepwater dock on Hamilin Creek minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, Wild Dunes Marina (for gassing up and fine dining at the Morgan Creek Grill), and small islands and creeks for exploring, crabbing, shrimping, fishing, and fun! Wild Dunes is a world class resort located at the northern tip of our island (approx 5-10 minutes from beach house) with two top golf courses! Relax on the back deck while watching the kids frolic and play in the private, 18' round/4' deep above ground deck pool! Yard is fenced if bringing pets. Wifi is available for those that can't leave their computers at home.
Or take the day to explore this historic area from Civil War Fort Moultrie on neighbor Sullivans Island. Or to the USS Yorktown on the Harbor; or Charles Pinckney Home; or Boone Hall, former plantation and site of films North and South, Gone with the Wind, and Queen in neighboring Mount Pleasant. Or cross our beautiful Cooper River bridge to historic Charleston and take a carriage ride to see the historic homes and gardens, shop at the open air market, antique shops, national and local boutiques, and end the day with a wonderful meal from numerous fine dining choices.
We invite you to unwind and relax in our charming cottage with glorious sunset views over Hamlin Creek. Up the stairs you will find a sunroom with wicker set to enjoy the creek viewing, living room has loveseat, queen sleeper sofa and occasional chair with a 42" Panasonic Plasma TV with cable and DVD player, dining room with table and six chairs, fully-equipped tiled kitchen with small table and two chairs, main bedroom with queen bed & tv, and one cozy bedroom with two twin beds, one full bath with jacuzzi tub and shower with beach mural on walls.
Upstairs has warm pine floors throughout most living areas, linoleum in kitchen, bath and sunroom, plaster walls, beadboard ceilings in bedrooms and living room. The back deck holds the gas grill with furniture for watching burgers cook, and down a few steps to swimming pool deck.
Down the back OUTSIDE steps is downstairs apartment with kitchenette with stove, microwave and refrigerator, table and four chairs, full bathroom with shower, foosball table, bedroom with queen size bed, queen size sleeper sofa in living area, 27 inch TV with DVD player, games, plus washer and dryer. Through door and few steps through carpeted beach toy area is large bedroom with queen bed and loveseat with single sleeper.
Our deepwater dock is just a few steps up and across the street with gorgeous expansive views of Hamlin Creek and little Goat Island directly across which separates us from the Intracoastal Waterway. You will see peeks of large ships going up the Waterway.
Our floater has three feet of water AT THE FRONT TOWARD CREEK * at normal or 0/0 low tides, with 16 by 12 covered pierhead with bench, floater is 8 by 20 and you are able to swim (at high and medium tide; not recommended at low tide because of pluff mud bottom and oyster shells).
Fish and enjoy the creek without ever leaving the dock... or bring your boat and explore our creeks, neighboring islands, fish in the ocean and creeks, or wakeboard, ski, kneeboard right on our wide creek! Be mindful of tides. They are published everyday in our local paper!

Also please remember: Currents can be strong both in the ocean and Hamlin Creek! *Please note at 0/0 or normal low tide the back of floater (towards street) can be in mud. Please note the deep water dock is shared with one other nice local family. You have full use of dock at all times. Please respect their property, jet ski or boat, tied up to dock.
