The Black River, Jamaica 's longest river, begins underground in the Cockpit Country to the north, then emerges north of Siloah.
Here you can take a ferry ride through black river with the tourist guides so you can see the crocodiles up close and personal. Black River Safari is next door to YS falls which is another great tourist site. Black River is located about 1 hour away from Camridge Apartments.
YS falls:
YS Falls opened in 1990. It is a nature-based attraction offering the opportunity to experience the beauty of the waterfalls surrounded by flora. River tubing offered when weather permits. YS Falls is the perfect compliment to a day trip to the Black River Safari because they are so close to each other.YS Falls
Near the beginning of the Bamboo highway, you'll find a family owned farm that is home to one of the most visited and most beautiful waterfalls in Jamaica, called YS falls by the locals.
In the spirit of the farm on which it lies, you'll be transported to the base of the falls by way a tractor, and from there you'll have the option of walking up a stairway that runs alongside the falls, or to climb up the rocks of the falls themselves, depending upon ho adventurous you feel.
On your way up the falls, you'll find numerous pools where one can swim, or plunge into the water from rope swings that hang in the trees.
