The charming and historic mountain town of Dahlonega, GA influenced our decision to invest here. Three wineries are located within 2 miles of the property. World class trout fishing is available on the property. Hiking and biking opportunities surround us. Cute shops and wonderful restaurants abound.
We have just completed a total renovation of the property. Lovely gardens grace the lush lawn that stretches from the cottage to the river. Fishermen enjoy numerous, level entry points into the Chestatee. . When guests are inside, a flat screen TV with sports package, huge wood burning fireplace, and fully equipped kitchen make indoor living fun.
My husband and I just enjoyed 5 lazy days at the cottage. We started each day by feeding the trout that hang out in a cool, deep hole near our campfire ring. We spent our mornings gardening, traveling and hiking along the Russell Scenic Highway, shopping in Dahlonega, tubing the river (right in front of the cottage), and having lunch in town. Each afternoon, we sat in beach chairs with our feet in the cool river water while we read great books. We prepared gourmet meals and dined outside under the stars every evening.
We have worked for 2 years to perfect this lovely place. It is in pristine condition. The only thing better than sharing it with others, is spending quite time there with each other.
