The pictures of this so called "luxury" villa are very nice and inviting. However, the picture of the pool and hot tub do not show that they are not heated even after you are charged daily for a heater that does not work. We were told by the management company that the heater was very old. We did get a partial refund for the lack of heat...why not all?
The description states that there is a stove and oven; however, it does not say that it does not work. We were told by the management company that the control panel was not working.
We purchased food to prepare and then had to discard since we could not make the food. We could have used the grill but did not want to spend our vacation cleaning the filthy grill before we used it. It probably was a blessing in disguise that the stove did not work, as the pots and pans were all scratched Teflon and not healthy for use. There were 2 smaller pans that were alright.
Also, the description states that there is an ice maker...not true.
The bedrooms appear very nice in the photos. What the photos do not show is the condition of the mattresses. If you plan to sleep upstairs...bring a sleeping bag for the floor; it will be more comfortable.
The biggest and most disappointing was the bugs. We had a closed canister of powder baby formula on the counter and when we returned from the parks to prepare the baby's bottle, we noticed that it was infested with bugs! Also, bugs were on the bathroom counter in the master bedroom. We were told that they would come and spray the day before we were leaving. We felt that with children in the villa and a pet, we did not want the fumes,etc. and we would be leaving the next day. We just put everything in the refrigerator to protect the food.
Bring your own stroller as we thankfully did. You would not want to put your child in the filthy strollers that are provided. We did use one of the high chairs, which should be very clean now, as we sanitized and cleaned it completely.
There are many other issues, dust on ceiling fans, broken light switch plate covers, difficult to operate sliding door off kitchen, dust on light fixtures, etc. so much more. You get the idea.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your review. I am sorry you were disappointed with the property - you are the first people in over 10 years of renting who have been unsatisfied with my home. To cover some points for the future.
Pool heater replaced February 2013 - a report from my pool specialist said this was not essential - but due to its age I wanted to replace it before it gave up. Pool heat was supplied for the duration of your stay.
Stove / Oven replaced February 2013 (sorry you would not allow us entry while you were there so you could use it).
Home has been bug sprayed out of cycle based on your comments - and is continually sprayed every four weeks as a matter of course. Sorry you would not let us entry while you were there to put the problem right. Although 4 ants in Florida is hardly an infestation!
All the other points you raise (if they were valid & necessary) have been addressed.
This year I have also replaced my a/c unit as well as many other items that in due course need attention in a rental home. I offer very very competitive rates for a good home in a great location. I take on board all constructive comments and my management company and I try to act swiftly and professionally.
