Great location, Made traveling with kids easier, Meet all my needs, Felt right at home, Will return
My parents, husband and two kids recently stayed for a week here and loved it. We had plenty of room to move around, especially with two small kids (2 & 4yrs). The layout is great for several reasons. There's a master bed & bath on the main level allowing grandparents privacy, quiet and eliminates stair use. The full equipped galley kitchen is small, but the living area and screened in porch are very open and spacious (plenty of room for the kids to keep out of the way while cooking). The view of the golf course is nice. We ate in the huge screened in porch several times. It's peaceful and relaxing; made the rain feel more bearable. There's a fantastic Weber grill too. Previous places we've stay had cheap grills - my husband was thrilled to use this one! Upstairs my kids shared one room and we stayed in the other. There's also a loft upstairs with a pullout sofa. The front entrance has room to leave your sandy beach items and a hose to wash off your feet. We felt right at home when we arrived. The pictures in the listing are true to scale, the place is clean, lots of linens, and the decor has a relaxing beach feel. For those with small children who haven't mastered climbing stairs, you may need to block off the staircase as the steps do not have closed risers. I liked the open stair feel, it added to the relaxed beach atmosphere. We were happy to find some games in the living room to occupy ourselves on a rainy day. The complex was quiet, we never heard neighbors or other noise. There is access to a pool, however we did not use it.
It's location is great - you're kind of in the middle of Sea Pines with the closest spot to visit being the Beach Club. It's a just a quick bike ride and we were on the beach in minutes. The Beach Club is great - parking is a very short walk to the beach, clean bathrooms, occasionally activities for kids, covered outside table area to eat and a counter service place to buy food. Biking is big pastime in Sea Pines. Almost all paths are shaded and scenic. We took advantage of the great location and biked to several places in Sea Pines, including Harbor Town, South Beach, the Lawton stables & petting zoo. The playground at Harbor Town is a MUST for kids. The 200+ year old trees in the playground provide lots of shade. Last year we stayed outside of Sea Pines and we will not to that again. Sea Pines is peaceful and filled with activities. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning to this villa!
