Overview

Nosara House Rental Photos and Description

House, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, can accomodate two people.

Imagine a dream vacation in the tropical paradise of Costa Rica just a few steps from the beach! Casita Christina is located just on the edge of the Ostional Refuge 200 meter zone. There is nothing in between us, the refuge and the beach! It is a three minute walk to the beach so a rental car is not necessary for your vacation. The casita is surrounded by professionally, lush landscaped gardens which provides a very calming and relaxing atmosphere. If surfing is your thing, go any time of the day from sunrise to sunset! There is surf every day of the year! Or if you are a nature lover, drive 20 minutes to Playa Ostional and watch the olive ridley sea turtle lay their eggs. If you are looking for a thrill, you can fly through the air on Miss Sky Tours world famous zip line!

The Casita is a perfect home for a couple or single person looking for that perfect surf break. You can sit in the privacy of your porch by the pool or beachside at sunset time, cocktail in hand talking over the day at the beach surfing, walking, or shell collecting. In the mornings wake up to the sound of the surf, monkeys hollering above you in the pachote trees, iguanas cruising the pathways and tropical birds calling out to one another! The kitchen is set up for cooking all your meals with a market within walking distance. But, if you want to truly take advantage of your vacation, there are many local restaurants within walking distance of the property. We can help arrange shuttle service, canopy tours, surf lessons, massage, horseback riding on the beach, kayaking, fishing and many more activities.

Casita Christina is located below our private home, Casa Christina. The two homes have separate entrances and provide complete privacy. Living full time on the property , gives you the opportunity to ask us for advice if needed, address any issues that may come up or enjoy your vacation just as you want in complete privacy. We look forward to helping you plan your tropical Costa Rican vacation!

About Christina

We both grew up in Southern California and equally loved the ocean. Fifteen years ago we took up surfing and spent our first surf vacation here at Playa Guiones. We spent the next five years coming back for a month to two months at a time. Owning two business's allowed us to work, work, work and then spend as much time as we could exploring the coastline of Costa Rica looking for surf. We now live here full time and it is a dream come true for us!

Christina purchased this house in 2005

Why Christina chose Nosara

After five years of exploring the Pacific coastline, we knew we had found the perfect spot for a second home here in Playa Guiones. Perfect waves year round, wonderful community of full and part time people, great weather, and as close to the beach as one can get! It is a community at the beach!

What makes this house unique

We love sitting on our porch in the mornings with sipping our Costa Rican coffee while listening and watching all the wildlife! Monkeys and birds dominate the wildlife jungle sounds! At any given time we can hop on our beach cruisers and do a surf check. If the tide is high or we need a day off, we can go for a hike, take a yoga or pilates class, fish, kayak up the river or read a book by the pool all day long!

Jungle Paradise

We spent a week at Ron and Christina's casita and can't say enough

good things about it! While we're not surfers we certainly were still

able to thoroughly enjoy the beach and the sun. Their property is absolutely

gorgeous and welcoming. And Ron and Christina were truly the most awesome

hosts - never intruding but always helpful and accommodating. They'd make such

wonderful neighbours!! What a great experience it was for us...Thanks again to you both!!

We stayed in 3 places while in Costa Rica and this place was our favorite. My wife, baby girl, and I stayed here for 10 days and were not ready to leave! The suite is completely newly remodelled and is surrounded by tropical green gardens. The surf break is a 2 minute stroll away and so are many great restaurants, surf shops, and tourist activities. We didn't have a vehicle for the majority of our stay and it was never a problem. Ron and Christina and their small dog Rego are the most generous and hospitable family in Guiones... I'm sure of it! Surf hard, watch the beautiful sunset, eat a delicious dinner, sleep compfortably on the pillowtop mattress and repeat! Pura Vida!

Perfect Surf Hub

  • 5 of 5

To be brief - Casa Christina delivered on all fronts! Ron & Christina were exceptional hosts, the house was clean, functional, tastefully outfitted and very comfortable to kick back and enjoy the patio and pool after a day of surfing. And there's a perfect surf beach a 2-min walk out the back door, btw. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This place is more beautiful than the pictures show, it is like paradise. Grounds are meticulously kept, the pool is wonderful (salt water), and the apt is adorable. Ron and Christina are perfect hosts and their friends are really sweet. They introduced us to Anton Kast - the German butcher who delivers the best pate and grass fed beef of the back of his truck. They took us around town and also made us the most delicious chicken in peanut sauce for dinner. We loved them! Christina is GORGEOUS and Ron is like "Popeye" - He leaves early morning to go out to sea and fish in a Kayak that only "007" would have. His friends are the same way - One of them is a Kayak guide on the river - let's just call him TARZAN!

We surfed, we walked all over, we biked and then wound up in the pool everyday. We ate at Kaya Sol ( great food) and some other restaurants there (avoid Casa Tucan) and we shopped at the mini super. Our driver (who Ron and Christina arranged) picked us up at the Sheraton Garden Hotel where our adventure began. He didn't speak English and our Spanish is not worth commenting on BUT we saw our first monkeys and he took us to the mega super store!

Make sure you walk to Olga's for some red snapper and meet the Chef from Texas! You will have the most amazing view and the most amazing food. It is down the beach and through a path. Oh and speaking of the beach - it is a short walk and pristine. There is nothing commercial - very peaceful, the water is warm. The surf is for everyone - beginners too. The occasional vendors have great stuff and they give you credit - if you don't have money today you can pay tomorrow. TIP: if you buy the round candle holders - wrap them in your bathing suit tops to bring them home safe and sound.

We rented a car one day and drove down to Samara and watched the world go by one day. Ron gave us a hand drawn map the best tip on a restaurant that overlooked the entire Harbor area. We also saw our first crocodile!

Then we rented a car to drive back up towards Tamarindo on our way home!!!!! Ron gave us a hand drawn map (Yes another hand drawn map!) to get back along the coast and WHAT an ADVENTURE!! WE HAD A BLAST AND STILL HAVE THE MAP :) Um...did I say hand drawn map...Awesome!

What else can I say - it was the best vacation we have ever had and with the nicest people we have ever met. A million thank you's to Ron and Christina. We are definately going back as soon as we can.

Great location. Great people.

My wife and I can't wait to go back! Christina and Ron were great. The house was very well kept and the location was walking distance to everything you needed. Couldn't get much closer to Playa Guiones. Having access to the bikes was nice as well for getting around town. The gardens around the property were the nicest in the town. One recommendation would be an outdoor grill but that's all. Hope you guys are doing well. Missing CR everyday.
