There are two units reflected in the photos you see. Details below about each unit. One located on 4318 Parkside Crescent and the other located on 4458 Torquay Drive. The photos are labeled Parkside and Torquay accordingly.

Both have private entries and in-suite laundry facilities, private patios, BBQ, garden.

About Parkside:

This spacious downstairs self contained, duplex style unit, offers a peaceful location that’s close to the attractions of beautiful downtown Victoria.

This suite was professionally designed and built with the convenience of couples or small families in mind. It includes a modern kitchen with a ceramic stove and convection oven, full size refrigerator, microwave oven, and dishwasher. A built-in washer and dryer makes the suite a self-contained home. Each bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed, and the living room includes a DVD player and 32” flat screen TV. There is a comfortable double sofabed in the living room.

From the moment you enter the suite you will notice the many details that contribute to comfort and an up-scale feel. You will appreciate the clean modern lines and the classy, uncluttered style throughout. Your privacy is ensured as the suite has its own entrance. The main attraction for some, however, will be the garden outside the suite that looks onto the back of Mount Douglas Park. The private patio for exclusive use of this unit (Not shared) is a rare find in the heart of most cities – you may take pleasure in a BBQ, enjoy a good book or simply relax in the backyard/garden.

A short walk from the suite will take you to the start of many trails that lead to the top of Mount Douglas, where you can enjoy a 360 degree view of the city. This is a safe residential area, yet very close to city amenities including recreation and fitness centers, golf courses, theatres, shopping, and bus routes. The proximity to the University of Victoria and Camosun College make the suite ideal for those attending courses and conferences.

Upon request, there are items that will make vacations with young children easier such as: high chair/swing; baby tub; baby chair; play mat; stroller; exersaucer; toys.

There is off street parking in front of the house.

About Torquay:

A spacious downstairs self contained, duplex style unit, offers a peaceful location that’s close to the attractions of beautiful downtown Victoria. There is parking in the driveway for two cars.

Extended rates apply for 1-3 months. Longer term lease also available.

These suites were professionally designed and built with the convenience of couples or small families in mind. It includes a modern kitchen with a full size stove and oven, full size refrigerator, microwave oven, and dishwasher. A built-in washer and dryer makes the suite a self-contained home. Each bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed, and they are set in the both ends of the suite so it is very private for sharing with another couple. On Torquay it is AS IF there were two separate suites which they are indeed, as each contains a BD/Bathroom and while one has a full kitchen, the other side has a kitchenette, with a mini fridge, MW, coffeemaker, counter, stools, desk.

The living room includes a DVD player and 32” flat screen TV. There is a comfortable sofabed in the living room with double mattress. So 8 people can sleep comfortably.

This is a safe residential area, yet very close to city amenities including recreation and fitness centers, golf courses, theaters, shopping, and bus routes.

The street is very quiet, yet the next street is busy with many buses going by so it is easy to get by without a vehicle.

The proximity to the University of Victoria and Camosun College make the suite ideal for those attending courses and conferences.

NOTE- the hot tub referred to by some reviews and in some photos has since been removed and the patio renovated and expanded - It was a wise move!

Please note: If you are in your twenties and it is important to you to have a party with some friends, this place is not for you. But I am sure you will find another one perfect for that.

Dogs - may be considered on a case by case basis. No puppies and no large dogs. Pet deposit and extra cleaning fee applies. Dogs absolutely not allowed in the bedrooms and furniture.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!

Thanks Fernanda and Steve for sharing this Oasis in Victoria. Recently my husband and I had to be in Victoria for medical reasons. The suite had everything we needed to make our 7 week stay feel like home. Inside and outside was way beyond our expectations. The location is excellent just an easy 15-20 minutes drive to the Jubilee and 15-20 minutes to downtown. The walking trails and amenities close by were excellent Mount Doug has many trails to explore and you can walk to the beach along the trails. I would certainly recommend this rental suite to anyone wanting to spend time in Victoria.

I spent several happy months in Fernanda's suite this past year. It proved to be an excellent location for our little family, with easy access to the Uvic campus where I was working and to the many wonderful parks and amenities that Victoria has on offer. Our kids loved the trails of nearby Mt. Doug. My three year old daughter was convinced that fairies lived in the magical woods behind Fernanda's house, and dragged us out on many a night walk in search of them! The suite itself was spotless, and Fernanda had it ready and well-equipped with all the little comforts that one might like when away from home for any length of time. Needless to say, we were delighted for the chance to stay here, and would more than recommend the suite (and the lovely Fernanda!) to you.

We spent one month together with our Kids (8yrs, 12yrs) in Fernanda's place and felt extremely comfortable and at home from day one!

The apartment is conveniently located with about 10 min to the next beach, a nice Shopping mall and the University, and around 20 min to downtown (easy drive). It is a very calm and quiet neighbourhood right at the foot of Mt. Douglas (if you get a chance, walk up the hill - you will be rewarded with a stupendous view over the City).

The apartment is fully equipped with everything you can think of (or would have at home). We really enjoyed that a lot, as it made our long stay so smooth and easy, moreover, it felt like home! There was nothing that we would have missed in the 3,5 weeks we spent there. The interior is decorated very tastefully and contemporary. The fact that we had a completely separate entrance was very comfortable, as we had our privacy and were sure that we would also not disturb our hosts.

Fernanda is a very experienced host who had prepared a lot of Information for her guests, so we enjoyed her restaurant suggestions, practical information for getting around in Victoria, etc. A side comment: the Internet connection in the apartment is totally reliable and very quick, important for us, as we had to partly work during out stay.

All in all - a perfect experience! We have already booked the place for our next year's trip to Victoria.

"A VERY WELL APPOINTED APARTMENT PERFECT FOR UVIC AND MOUNT DOUG"

A beautifully presented apartment, really well situated for Uvic, in a quiet and very pleasant residential road. I stayed (with the family) while visiting Uvic for two weeks and we all enjoyed the excellent facilities (the well appointed kitchen provided in the apartment is a real rarity in rental accommodation), the lovely backyard with the gas BBQ, and the proximity to the beautiful Mount Doug park (a climb up to the top to see the 360 deg view is a must). Great trails for a morning or evening run as well.

The apartment is about 15 minutes from downtown by car, but close to the all usual shops. Very handy for Uvic (5 minutes by car or 15 minutes bike ride). There was a bike which Fernanda very kindly let me use.

Fernanda was an excellent host. We had a very minor issue that she resolved very quickly.

WONDERFUL HOME AWAY FROM HOME

My family stayed here for a few days while visiting my brother in Victoria. It was an excellent place for my husband and I and our 3 kids (10, 12, 14 years) to rest and relax. The accommodations were exceptionally clean and modern and the laundry facilities were a welcome bonus. The beds, including a cot for the extra child, were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family heading to Victoria.

PEACEFUL, HOMELY SETTING IDEAL FOR MATURE STUDENTS OR UNIVERSITY FACULTY

My 14 year old son
and I were residents here for a period of 4 months while I was undertaking
studies at the University of Victoria as an international exchange student from
Australia. As new comers to Canada it was wonderful to be situated in a
friendly, homely environment. We got to know the neighbours and all the
fantastic people in OUR street...YES...4318 Parkside was our home away from
home...right down to our little squirrel friend that visited us from the bush
at the back of the house. Our beautiful landlord was fantastic in accommodating
our needs and making us feel welcome. The property has every modern appliance
and is beautifully furnished. Now we are back in oz we miss our lovely unit in
Parkside Cres (now I have do the dishes by hand...as I don't have the handy
dish washer). I explored all accommodation in Victoria before leaving oz and
this unit was excellent value for money.
