Green Valley Lake Cabin Rental Photos and Description
Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)
The peaceful mountaintop community of Green Valley Lake was developed in the 1930s as a mountain retreat and recreational area. The small village features two restaurants covering breakfast lunch and dinner, a small grocery for the essentials, a small hardware store, and post office (as well as the requisite real estate offices). A three-minute walk takes you to the lake itself with its swimming beach and access to the boat dock where canoes, kayaks, row boats, and paddle boat may be rented (no power boats are permitted). The stocked lake is very popular for fishing either from boats or from the shore. The Green Valley Lake roads are slightly hilly making for leisurely neighborhood walks and enjoying the wide variety of mountain architecture. Well marked trails into the San Bernadino National Forrest are available for the more adventuresome.
The all-cedar cabin was built by noted area designer/builder, Virgl Wilde, with his trademark window framing, functional styling and heavy planked bar in the kitchen. The large deck across the back of the cabin, surrounded by majestic pine trees, provides a combination of sun and shade throughout most of the day for sunbathing, bird watching, or just enjoying the view and refreshing mountain air.
The cozy interior features comfortable seating in the cedar-gabled living room for reading, games, and just relaxing. The amenities include a stereo receiver with CD changer, cable TV with DVD and VCR, and a high speed internet connection. A high bar with stools separates the kitchen from the living room permitting easy chatting during meal preparation in the fully equipped modern kitchen with adjoining dining area for four. Central heating will remove winter's chill within minutes after arrival. The final touch of charm comes from the wood-burning, cast iron Franklin Fireplace.

Steve and Gordon use this highly functional, nicely appointed cabin as a peaceful retreat from the desert heat. We are hoping that you will enjoy this wonderful spot as much as we do.
The area is very much unspoiled and unchanged since I first saw it in my youth.
Relaxing on the deck or lakeside. Fishing in the well stocked lake, and the seasonal art exhibits. Watching the seasons change.
