Giving this 5 stars because I hope that is what I could have given it, but calendar had not been updated.
Even though it shows available, upon requesting a rental; I was told that the villa was not being rented during September, due to repairs.
Just walk in the front door and look out over the pool to the view of the harbor and you'll know you picked the right house. Our group of 5 stayed with ample space for everyone, except we were rarely inside, we lived on the covered patio. The layout of the house gives every room an incredible view. Once we got a hang of the driving we realized we were very central on the island and could get anywhere fairly quickly. Our highlight was an on-shore fishing trip with Captain Alvin. In 4 hours we caught numerous fish (including a reef shark) and had fresh fish tacos back at the house. Other nights we walked down to Sibs for great drinks and dinner. Judy and Nikki both were a pleasure to work with and responded promplty to any questions I had. The whole rental process went seemlessly and our vacation was one to remember, even after all the rum..
we arrived at the villa and immediatley was in awe. Breathtaking views of the Habor. We came for the ending of Carnival and wasnt disappointed. 6 adults. We had the perfect view of carnival village. the rooms are very spacious and cozy. The villa had everthing we needed, plus more. Kitchen was stocked with seasonings, cooking oil, and other items, so it maybe good to check in first before stopping at high price grocery stores. we didnt drive the roads, we were all too chicken, rented a car and driver, which i think was the wrong move. next time, we will be driving. will be returning to st.thomas next year, hopefully staying at the same villa. we did have some problems with the internet access and using certain cellphones, but that didnt spoil our trip.
We can't say enough about the home and location! It was fairly easy to find - when you turn the right direction! Being the last home on the road made it very quiet and peaceful. When we were at the house, we spent most of our time on the covered patio and loved watching the night lights of the harbor from the upstairs patio. The house, Nikki and Bernadette were all better than could be described!
We rented a car, and while driving on the left is a little daunting at first, if you take your time, you soon realize how close the house is to most places on the island and you don't mind taking a drive. For great happy hour drinks, The Big Kahuna on the waterfront is awesome! Sibs was wonderful for happy hour and dinner - their portions easily serve two, and if you head to Red Hook, try Fish Tails - great fresh catch. We also took a private day sail, so if you are intereted in something like that, we would recommend Simplicity. Look them up on Trip Advisor. Oh - we can't forget Glady's in Charlotte Amalie...get the kalaloo soup!
We will definitely plan to come back to Villa Montana and we have already recommended the proprty to friends! There is so much to do on and around St. Thomas, we can't wait to start planning a return trip and we couldn't imagine staying somewhere else!
It would be very difficult find any flaw or deficiency with this property. When you first walk through the doors and look out over the pool area to the harbor below, it is breathtaking. The design of the home is elegant, it is supplied with everything you will need, and it us clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable. The laundry and the kitchen are great. The five of us enjoyed the villa so much that we elected most days to simply stay home and hang out. We did spend one long day sightseeing in the British Virgin Islands, high point of the trip being the Baths on Virgin Gorda. Highly recommended. We had dinner at Thirteen, The Pie Hole, Bella Blu, and Island Time Pub (all very good), but our most memorable evening was at Hotel Mafolie right in our own neighborhood. Our contact person was Nikki. All of her information was helpful, and the whole process of booking the property, arriving and departing, went exactly as anticipated.
My family stayed here 10 days, 6 adults and my 9 year old granddaughter . Everyone really enjoyed our stay here. The view from here is amazing, coffee in the the morning on the upstairs balcony made me feel like I was the King of St Thomas. The description and photos are accurate , but much better in person. The only concern I had was paying cash because with a credit card I would have some type of recourse in the event it was a scam. It's the real deal, the communication with the owners was great and always returned any messages promptly. The deposit was returned as the rules were minimal . My wife and I had been to the island twice before, once on a cruise ship and one time staying on east end . This time we brought back the family. The location of house is more centralized than staying on east end . Best snorkeling on the island was Coki beach and Secret Harbor. Great food in town at Green House and on east end Panga formally known as Fungi's best meal and service during our whole trip. Thanks for a great place Nikki and were so sorry to hear about Judy, she had given us a lot of good info. We will definitely go back one day
