Classic Seattle Victorian Home
Here is a chance to stay in one of the most beautiful residential areas in Seattle! The house is located on Capitol Hill's Federal Avenue East, one of Seattle's most desirable streets. It's close to all the Seattle attractions! The 49 bus line is just one block away and goes downtown in one direction and to the University of Washington in the other direction. You can walk to Volunteer Park with its beautiful old trees, conservatory, and the Asian Art Museum. Another walk will take you to the Broadway Shopping District with restaurants, coffee shops, and The Harvard Exit movie theater. The Seattle Center with the new McCaw Hall and several theaters are also a short car or bus ride away. Green Lake, one of Seattle's most popular parks, is about 10 minutes by car. Parking is available on the street as well as in the driveway, but you could get by just fine without a car.
The house is a classic Seattle Victorian built in 1905. Features include original leaded glass windows, oak floors, large dining room, and a kitchen recently furnished with new appliances. Baby grand piano in the living room. Antiques throughout the house. There is a small basement apartment with its own entrance, shower, and small kitchen. The house is kid friendly with toys, portable crib and rollaway bed. The house is surrounded by a well-cared-for garden that provides color and interest throughout the year.
This is our home and we have a cat as a pet. The house will be thoroughly cleaned before each rental, and the kitty will be out of the house during that time. But if anyone is particularly sensitive to cat hair, our house is probably not the right place to stay.
