My husband, 15 y/o son and I recently stayed at "The Roost" and quickly fell in love with the property and area. From morning coffee on the front porch watching the hummingbirds and butterflys in the garden to evenings on the back porch sipping a glass of wine while looking at the beautiful view, enjoying the cool breezes, looking at the milky way and finding the constellations. It's close to everything you would want to do with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway which we used almost daily.
The cabin is very warm, inviting, well stocked and comfortable. Michelle pays a lot of attention to small details which become apparent as you start to unwind. There are games for all ages, books and a great fire pit area-which we couldn't enjoy because of the unusual heat, much to our son's disappointment.
We would highly recommend this cabin to couples and families alike. We are already thinking about a return trip.
