Located just 9 miles from the French Lick resort and Casino ( about 15 minutes from resort) , Paoli Peaks & Near by Lake Patoka just 20 minutes, scenic white river 8 miles.

Property is on a working elk ranch 30 head of Elk to see and feed. Hay wagon rides can be arranged ON PROPERTY- Also vineyard, berries, wildlife on 120 acres. Property has a full workout gym, plus....a private par three golf course, a stocked fishing pond, bonfire pit and a 16 foot movie screen in the theater.

This property is perfect for a large family gathering or a corporate meeting. 10000 sq feet plus !

I have played golf on 4 continents, many fantastic tracks over my years. The track at twin peaks is no doubt the worst golf course in the world. The greens are fast as hell, and you can play all through the night causing additional hangover pain. Take two clubs, a wedge and a putter. The short game bastard is tough, its fun but its really a nasty course that should be played just so you can tell your friends that you played the worst course on the planet. Just 15 minutes away from quite possibly the best golf you will find in the Midwest.....dye & ross.

    Checkout the grand lodge across the street for a smaller rental good for about 16 people total

    Two night min is required -

    The cleaning fee is for cleaning the linens only. ( towels and sheets) This means that if you want our cleaning staff to clean the floors, stoves, counter tops dishes we need no know in advance to schedule additional cleaning staff. We have our linens cleaning fee set low so that our property is more affordable for our guests. If you are unable or unwilling to clean up after yourself and leave the property in the same clean condition that you receive it then we will need to charge you an additional cleaning fee.   • The lodging is in two buildings approximately 120 feet apart from each other. Four private bed rooms have a shower and a toilet. The master bedroom has a jacuzzi tub , shower and toilet. The bunk room (6) and five bedrooms share three toilets and two showers. Another 5 bedrooms available in the Grand Lodge facility nearby. (Additional fee and separate, private wooded lot for Grand Lodge rental.) THERE IS A SAUNA ON SITE! and another sauna and hot tub if you rent the grand lodge as well. Elk ridge ranch rocks! The heated grain bin silo, with the 16 foot movie theater sleeps about 30 people in sleeping bags. Remember, this place has a covered deck with seating for 50 plus, two fire places and heaps of room. Plus a par 3 -9 hole golf course !

Wise Family Outing

Our family outing was fabulous. We rented the Grand Lodge on top of a hill for 19 family members in Feb. Our skiing plans were trashed because of the warm temps, but we took kids to the indoor water park, and adults went gambling. The gym was tremendous for indoor games and some exercise. Plenty of beds, well stocked kitchen, wifi was a must for those with homework. Owners are very helpful. If you rent, ask for distance between the turns on the directions. Once you find the place, it's easy, but in the dark, it's challenging.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Another Perfect Reunion at Elk Ridge!

We just got back from another successful family reunion at Elk Ridge Ranch. We had a turn out of 45 ! from the family. This year marks our third year meeting family from around the mid west at Elk ridge. The main lodge is rustic, like you would find out west in Colorado. Its our kids personal favorite as they like the fishing pond and the bon fire pit. The Grand lodge is five star accommodations and that's where we stick the family members that would complain about anything but its so nice they cant. Dave and Wendy that run the place are helpful and will join you for dinner and drinks if you invite them. We love the place because its rustic, its peaceful and its huge! Now its not the Hyatt! if yo want luxury rent their grand lodge if you want down home country fun with lots of room the main lodge at elk ridge is the ticket. ~Dave Robinson & family - Chicago , Il

Lesson of the week: August is hot

The vacation home was a little more rustic then some of the family expected and there were several unfinished "home improvement" projects around the house. The air conditioner did not work in the main room of the lodge the first day of our stay, but Dave promptly had a repair man out and it was functioning well after that. The gym facilities were nice and convinent and the kitchen was nice as well, except that there was not a working freezer in the place during our stay. This was a big disappointment since were were there in August and the temperature was in the mid-90's. The beds were very comfortable and our kids loved sleeping in "the bunk room" of the lodge. Overall a good experience a few repairs and renovations would make this place perfect for a family vacation.
