Beautiful studio apartment with terrace located at the back of a quiet courtyard, within walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées but away from the bustle of the street. Wrought iron gate leads you up a wooden spiral staircase to the 2nd floor apartment which is flooded with light; huge windows open to the serene cobbled courtyard; hardwood floors, beautifully painted, exquisitely furnished, modern kitchen and bath, lush terrace perfect for outdoor meals or drinks.
Officially a studio since there is no door to the bedroom area but there is plenty of closet space, and en suite bathroom with separate toilet. Bed is a modern Murphy bed of the highest workmanship, extremely comfortable mattress. Bed can be folded away into wall for additional space. About 600 sq feet, not counting the terrace.
Conveniently located near Metro line 2 (Ternes) and RER A (Etoile), as well as airport buses. Steps away from the best baguettes in the city (across the street)!
Perfect for a romantic Parisian getaway, or a quiet place to live/work. You won't find a more classy, clean or well-maintained accommodation in the city of light!

We found the apartment to be as beautiful as the picture. It is a lovely, quiet and comfortable retreat just steps away from restaurants, shopping and metro stations. We were there for 17 days and loved having such a nice "home" to return to each day after exploring Paris. The owner, Alain, is charming, interesting and very helpful. We would definitely want to stay there again.
My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Paris this year for the first time - and also for the first time, we used VRBO as our housing option. As we shopped for the right apartment we wondered if the property would look like that or if we were we looking at fifteen year old pictures. I can say with all honesty that we were thrilled with Alain's apartment. It presented exactly as pictured.
From the moment you step through the oversized blue street doors leading to the inner courtyard it was enchanting. The properties in this group are carefully maintained and beautifully landscaped. The apartment was very comfortable with everything we needed. Alain's agent met us as arranged and took us through the property while explaining much about the local area.
The kitchen is small but served the two of us well. The terrace was a pleasure to come home to and drink a glass of wine after a day of exploring. Within walking distance were small shops offering fresh breads, croissants, fresh cooked foods and wines. Turn the corner and there is the Arc de Triumph! On the way to it is a Starbucks. We had everything we needed within a short distance and since we enjoy cooking found a full supermarket within two blocks.
Our host Alain has was most pleasant and I would rent from him again without hesitation. This apartment and experience deserves every one of the five stars I give it!
My husband and I are still raving about our trip to anyone who'll listen! The apartment was clean, beautifully decorated and just the right size for us! The kitchen is nice and efficient. The bed was extra comfy and we both slept very peacefully. Even though we were in the heart of a bustling area, when we entered the secured doors to the complex, all the noise seemed to fade away. In fact, we slept with the windows open every night. The air was cool and the breeze that swept through the apartment was just right! Although we did not have a chance to take advantage of the patio it was lovely to know it was there. We did however, sit at the table in front of the opened windows looking over the courtyard, planning out our days, and finishing every evening there reminiscing about our adventures. As if our trip couldn't have been any better we also had the privilege of meeting Alain. Not only is Alain one of the most interesting gentleman we have met, he is also an accomplished pianist and if you should have the good fortune of having him in town during your stay I encourage you to entice him to play for you (sorry Alain, I hope you weren't trying to keep that a secret). Thank you Alain for a trip we will remember forever. We hope to stay with you again in the future. Be well!
p.s. We had a few meals at the Italian restaurant next door to the property that we enjoyed very much.
My husband and I stayed in this very lovely apartment in late May, early June 2011, and while this review is quite late our sentiments are very genuine. We spent 9 days in this apartment and fell in LOVE! We just gush when we tell our friends about the lovely setting, the quiet courtyard, the well-appointed kitchen, the modern bathroom, and the dreamy bed! We were so impressed by the Murphy Bed we returned home and installed one in our guestroom. Jek could not have been more helpful and accommodating, and Fabienne checked in right away to be sure we were well settled. The area is full of markets, shops, parks, historic sites, and "must visit" bakeries. We are hoping to return to this very apartment in the not too distant future, as it felt immediately like we were at "home". To be completely honest, the Paris restaurants suffered during our stay as we preferred to buy our own groceries and create our own gourmet meals (dining alfresco as often as possible). We also had many out-of-Paris excursions planned, but we were so enamored by the walking tour options we found in a tour guide on the shelves in the apartment that we only ventured as far as Vincennes and Versailles. By the way, this was my 40th trip to Paris (I am a former French teacher) and I would have to say it was one of the most memorable!!!!! Merci mille fois, Claire!
I stayed at this lovely apartment in July. It is exactly as pictured, perfectly comfortable and immaculate. The pulldown bed was easy to use. The apartment had everything I needed and the terrace was a terrific bonus. The owner was excellent to deal with and very professional. Great location. I will be happy to come back again!
This was our first time in Paris. This Apt. made our trip. The location was perfect and the atmosphere was perfect. I got sick the second day and we hung out at the Apt. All day. It was comfortable and beautiful. To me it was so French. The location is great. We had breakfast in the Apt. every morning. The weather was nice. My husband would walk across the street where the bread and pastries were so great. We would open the big windows and just take in the smell of fresh baked bread. The bed was really comfortable. It's a Murphy bed and my husband wasn't happy. He thought it was going to be terrible but it was better then our bed at home. We took picture to show our family and friends and everybody wants to stay there. I think this Apt. made our trip. I recommend this Apt. To everyone.......
