The Whippet House is located on a story book, tree-lined residential street in a good area of the historic district. It began as a blacksmith shop in the early 1920's and was converted into townhomes in the 1960s by one of Savannah's first historic preservationists. Attention to detail, cleanliness and quality are paramount to the owners. In The Whippet House, you will find old hardwood floors, high ceilings, oriental rugs, original art, and antiques. The kitchen and baths have been recently upgraded with granite and marble. But the star of the show is the newly constructed, private courtyard with dining area and outdoor fireplace. The feel of the Whippet House is upscale, but very comfortable. The bedrooms are very comfortable and have TVs with DVDs and large closets. The master bedroom especially is extremely elegant, yet comfortable and has 3 large windows looking out into the trees. Also WIFI, offstreet parking, cable, washer dryer.
