Ca l'Helena was an old barn which has been renovated to integrate a bright, warm house with a capacity for eight guests, which offers all the services and comforts necessary for enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings to the full.

The house is located in the village of Castellet, presided by the 10th Century castle, surrounded by woodland, vineyards, the Foix reservoir, and the great variety of ecosystems which have arisen along its shores.

We are between Barcelona and Tarragona, in Mediterranean coast and in the Penedès wine zone. We have the Mediterranean climate, with moderate temperatures in winter and sunny summers.

In this area there are the most important sites and activities forming part of the World Heritage by UNESCO.

The area around Castellet is perfect for beautiful walks, castle visits, hiking, cycling, riding, etc. The region's main activity revolves around wine growing and everything associated with it. Many of the local wineries and cava producers offer tours and tastings.

A wonderful vacation home!

We stayed for a week in June 2011. We couldn't believe how nice the home was. The appliances, linens, furniture......Quim and Helena have put much time and love into this home. It is just lovely! The home is even better than the pictures reveal.
One of our favorite parts was waiting for the baker to bring bread at 12:00 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There are many places to walk. There is even a little restaurant in the village. We went to the beach in VillaNova twice and went to nearby towns L'Arboc and VilaFranca, but we really just enjoyed being in the home and walking the surrounding land.
I can't wait to come back in two years. It truly is a special place!

Tranquil trip to Castellet

It is a lovely house, well designed, beautiful location, very nice garden and pool, very tranquil village. We used the barbecue quite a bit at night, and traveled each day to a different location. We went one day to Tarragona, another to el priorat, another to the beach, etc. Our daughters enjoyed their private bathroom and the pool.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. We hope to come back in the future.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
