We are located at Holiday Beach Road on the Owls Head peninsula, looking towards Monroe and Sheep Islands, 3 hours from Boston, 11/2 hours from Freeport and LL Bean, and 2 hours from Bar Harbor. Other activities of interest are Monhegan Island, Vinalhaven, Camden Hills State Park and Mount Battie, Owls Head Transportation Museum, Maine Lighthouse Museum, Farnsworth Art Museum & Homestead, Andrew Wyeth's Olson House, General Knox Museum, Penobscot Marine Museum ,Fort Knox and many others. Also there are schooner and lobster boat races, Blues Festivals, Annual Lobster Festival, Antique car and plane shows, and many agricultural fairs. Check with the local chamber of commerce for dates and times.

The Yellow Cottage is what I call my old fashioned New England cottage with its open stud walls and wrap around porch. This cozy cottage is directly on the water with a semi-private beach of small rocks, many colored and weathered beach glass, lucky rocks and ten foot tides. From the cottage porch or the bedroom's large picture window you can view the rising moon or the local lobster and fishing boats motoring by daily and pleasure sail and motor boats cruising this Mussel Ridge Channel on their way to and from Camden and other ports of call.
