The Estes Elk House: We named the property the Estes Elk House, because hardly a day goes by without sighting an Elk from the beautiful decks on the east side of the home. You will also see hummingbirds, deer, eagles, bluebirds, rabbits and chipmunks from the deck.

The summers in Estes Park are incredible, the high temperatures are usually in the mid 70's, bright sunny days, with a little shower in the afternoon. The home is located a block from the spectacular Estes Park 18 hole golf course, voted the 7th most beautiful golf course, we provide a set of clubs to use and free golf balls! We also have a couple of mountain bikes you can ride the 27 miles of hiking and biking trails in Estes Park.

Rocky Mountain National Park: Rocky Mountain National Park is just minutes away, you can enjoy the spectacular Trail Ridge Road and Fall River Road! Waterfalls are everywhere, beautiful lakes, fabulous hikes, amazing wildlife, are just a few of the reasons why R.M.N.P. has millions of visitors every year. Estes Park is beautiful, with great restaurants and exciting special events all year! Hermit Park is also just a couple of miles away, and is usually a lot less crowded. The views of Estes Park are amazing and moose are sighted on a regular basis.

Estes Park is located at the eastern entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The Estes Elk House is two miles from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, the park has 3 million visitors a year. Estes Park is a beautiful, quaint mountain village, with great restaurants and lots of activities for the whole family. The world famous Trail Ridge Road (US 34) connects Estes Park to Lake Granby. It is one of the most spectacular roadways in the world and the highest through roadway in North America. Estes Park is also home of the world famous Stanley Hotel, built by F.O. Stanley, inventor of the Stanley Steamer. The Estes Park 18 hole Golf Course is rated one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. The Estes Elk House is so named for the wild elk roaming through the neighborhood, almost on a daily basis!

Other Activities: Camping, Hiking, Biking, Fishing, Boating, Golfing, Snow Shoeing, Shopping, Exploring, Dining Out, Relaxing on the two beautiful decks, are just a few of the fun activities available. Observing abundant wildlife is very easy from our decks or anywhere in the Estes Park area.

Golf: There are two golf courses in Estes park! The Lake Estes course is a 9 hole executive course with spectacular views every where you look. It is about two miles away. Watch out for the elk! The 18 hole golf course is just about a 1/4 mile north of our home. It is rated one of the most beautiful courses in the world. The entrance to the course is about a mile away. The weather during the summer is perfect for golf, with a high temperature around 75 degrees. There is usually a brief shower every afternoon. We provide a set of golf clubs you can borrow, and we usually have FREE golf balls for you to use.

Ski: Eldora Mountain Resort is about 45 minutes south of Estes Park. There is great cross country skiing, ice skating, and snow shoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Wonderful Thanksgiving weekend

We spent a couple of nights at this beautiful home after Thanksgiving. Everything from the convenience to the cleanliness could not be beat. We had a group of 9 and were very comfortable. We saw lots of elk which was one of our hopes. We missed the parade in town but saw the fireworks over the lake from just up the road. Just a wonderful weekend. Can't say enough.

We enjoyed a full month stay from 9-14 thru 10-14-012 my husband and I had a great time except for looking at a power cat clock for a month but we had several Jayhawks sitting around. We had a fantastic time watching the elk and deer. Great place recommend to everyone Mike is great to work with Give the property an A+

What a special trip fr our family! As soon as our daughter had our grandchild she drove out to spend time in the Estes Elk House. We had a great time relaxing by the fire, eating, walking to the beaver dam where we saw two bevears!

Thanks to the Manhattan KS coffee group for the inspiration and encouragement to rent this beautiful home. Three families spread out with room to spare. We hiked during the day and came home to a crock pot meal, games, beaver damn,ducks, and elk. Our last day here we packed clean clothes back in our suitcases thatnks to all the convienences of home.
